The Piranha STS G2 accepts all spyder upgrades. And it has better acuracy than a spyder. In a shot grouping test the STS did a better job. And Piranhas are more durable and reliable.

Trust me. The PMI Piranha STS G2 is better than the Kingman Spyder Compact 2000. It is more accurate and reliable. It also has a RAM AIR CHAMBER that helps it work at a low pressure. It will take all spder upgrades, and then its own. So it is MORE upgradeable, More accurate, More reliable. And the quick disconect pin was stolen from PMI. Oh well, kingman didnt do a good job copying it anyways. And the STS G2 got a better reivew on this site.

Stock shutter is better than a stock compact, but compacts can be upgraded to be even better than stock shutters...but shutters ARE better than compacts

Shutters just plain suck. They have the worst design ever! They have the reg. before the exp. chamber!!! How stupid is that! A shutter is a waist of money. You get a half @$$ reg. and a drop forward that maybe makes 1/100th of a difference. Get a TL+ if you realy want a spyder. But the STS G2 is better than it.

I dont know why but i love the TL+. It is like the coolest gun. But sadly I'm gonna get a STS G2 because it is better and cheaper. I have debated with myself for like a month. And I can always find a reason why the STS is better.

What do you mean bashing every gun under the sun? All I do is state the pro's and con's of the guns. Most spyders and piranhas are good. Tippmanns are over priced for what they come with, automags are sweeeeeeeeet.

pirahnas are so cheap.....the trigger frame on the ext is plastic and i can pull the trigger while its on safety, pmi did was make a clone of the spyder semi-auto and say it was them who had the first blowback

Compact is a good gun to start with and upgrade, but some people would rather not go nuts and upgrade and put a whole ton of time into their gun, so in that case a TL+ or even a shutter (gasp i said it, the shutter may have good points!) may be the best purchase. Between Piranha, Spyder and all the others, if they have the same features (lp chamber, double trigger, expansion chamber) they're gonna be the same gun, a piranha isnt inherently more accurate than a spyder, and vice versa. So next time you start thinking about which is better, Spyder or piranha, think of it this way; Which one do you think looks cooler? Well there's the best of the two :)

It realy does come down to your own opinion. Most of the time. But there are reasons why and why not to get a gun. The STS G2 has a RAM AIR CHAMBER and a better barrel than the TL+. That should influence your decision.

Ram Air chamber is a plain old low pressure chamber with a spring in it. The spring doesnt do a whole lot

Actually Twitcho, the Spring and piston do something that a regular Low Pressure Chamber doesn't ... It FUCHs up quite a bit, because if the O-Ring at the end of the Ram Air Chamber is a bit off, or if the O-Ring on the end of the piston slips a bit, then it spews gas like crazy, causing much frustration and anger on, and off, the field. :eek:

lol, never thought of it that way :) If it causes so much problem, take the spring right out of there and the pistol will stick against the back wall of the chamber, making it an ordinary low pressure chamber. I know because the intimidator has a regulator mounted the same way, and one of the mods is to take the spring out of the regulator, and just use the piston to seal the chamber, so it'll work :) (well, it should work, hehe) Since the piston wont slide anymore, the o-rings wont get f*ed up as easily

Actually, I'm 50% sure, since I'm not exactly positive as to how this darn thing is supposed to work, but try takin the spring out and the piston should remain static and work right. You probably understand how the chamber works, so you should be able to know if it'll work or not, just thought I'd suggest it

I thinK I might just see if there is a regular low pressure chamber that will fit there. I think BTL and VTL come with a low pressure chamber ... anyway, I'll give your suggestion a try and see what happens.

Nobody considers the millenium in these kind of posts. I have one and it is great! I think it and the spyder 2000 are the best buys for a low-end semi.

First of all, to the guy who was talkin' crap 'bout Piranhas being more upgradable than Spyders. No, that is not true. Piranhas are LESS upgradable than Spyders. Piranha bolts are different, that's one less. Also, Piranhas can't get DYE frames, Benchmarks frames, or other frames made for Spyders. This DEFINITELY proves that you do not own a gun. Whether or not they have more upgrades, they work the same way. Striker catches on sear, spring tension pushes striker forward, striker moves sear forward, trigger tilts the sear, the sear releases the striker, the striker goes forward pushing the valve pin, the cup seal is pushed open, air goes through, pressure pushes the cup seal forward again, sealing the valve, the air goes up the hole in the bolt, pushes the ball through, and the rest goes back to push the striker to catch onto the sear.
