Average barrel length

I know there has always been a great debate about the most efficient barrel length and the general consensus seems to be that 12"-14" is good, 16" is ok, and 18"+ is a waste. I'd lke to hear what barrel lengths you players out there use or reccomend for the average player. Thanks

12 is the best all around size...if you want a longer barrel and play back the biggest you should go is 14.
