ok here it goes:

Someone i play with has built and started to use a shield. Its pieces of plywood conected with hinges so it folds up until he releases it. It covers his whole body and he swears that they are "tournament legal". you can't do much to hit him because he usually sets himself up where you can only hit his head. he keeps you back with his large amounts of BPS and his teamates end up marking you.

What do you do?

Also he knows that noone wants him using it and he still does. Someone who runs the games we played told him not to bring it back but he always does.

oh and by the way. We chronoed him at 359 yesterday.

If refs told him not to bring it back and he does they can make him not use it. Its the company property and If he violates the rules on private proporty they can make him leave with no refund.

Chronoed at 359 and uses a sheild the refs told him not too? Why is he still there?!?!!.... Ah well, technically, if he is holding it and it gets shot, he is out as it is part of his equipment... If no one goes for that, use the shield against him as a blind spot and bunker him :) .

Several things;

1. I assure you that a shield is NOT tournament legal. If he were to take a hit on the shield, it would be an out any way you look at it. Refs use them for protection only.

2. If he is shooting at 359, he is endangering yourself and the other players. Speeds that great can break goggles and break skin very easily.

I think you should make a strong suggestion to the owner of the field that you do not allow him to play until he stops bringing the sheild (or at least he is called for a shiled hit) and drops his veloicty down a little. Any other field would of thrown him out long ago for breaking two rules.

yeah its an extension of his body. so if you hit it he should be out. You could probably look up the rules somwhere online, bring them to him, and shove them in his face. Then if he still wants to use it, its just a bigger target for you to hit:D

Wait, can you like get like a lot of wood and strap it to your back and when the game starts, you make yourself a little mini-bunker? Or would it be considered as an out like someone dropping their gun and you shoot it?

my cousin did that once with a sheet of plywood. We played in nearby woods so there weren't any refs. Here's what happened. I was on my cousins team and he was using an ancient pistol. He put it in his back pocket while we walked to the other teams base. It was so funny. On the way he found a piece of plywood that was left over from making bunkers. He picked it up and carried it infront of him all the way to the other base. When they started to shoot at him he then set it infront of him and decided to pull his pistol out. The other team told him if they shoot the shield that he's out and my cousin said "Then you're out if I shoot the tree you're hiding behind", I laughed some more and the entire other team just hammered him with their semies. Eventually they shot him and since so many people were shooting he was hit atleast 3 times. Since then he hasn't used a shield :laugh:

My idea's more effective... but kinda spendy. If you don't want to spend that much $$ on a tank, a Golf Cart with spikes on the front will do just fine...
