View Full Version : new Users makin stickies useless!?

OOk ive been gone for a part of the week and ive noticed a great number and increace on closed threads because they dont read the stickies. i mean, if we close them, they post it again, and again. How can we prove to them to read the stickies? How bout l;ike no one respond until its closed, and the person who closed should put, "stickie boy, read em..."...or something like that.

bourne is there a way to make it in the coding so that if the same like topic names come up, then the thread can't be created? or should i ask sid?

we should have people who want to post a topic sign a form saying that they read the stickies before posting, and if they mess up, they get a warning the next time theyre banned.

No, I haven't touched your sig.

That could likely be done, but people would find a way around that very quickly, and it would likely limit people in addition.

That's why we rely on people like you. :)

we could have a sticky where people just post in it instead of out, if they have a question, BAM we slam a sticky in their face.lets see them get around that. well they probably would find away around.

We're working on it. I (and others) are having zero tolerance for any Gun A vs. Gun B threads. You can help by reporting them :tup:

yeah but that gets anoying after time, well youll probably have enough things on your hands or maybe not, i think ill do that.

but in some cases the stickies do wonders. back when i was p8ntball1016(im not lying), i posted a rainmaker faq. since it was stickied the number of rainmaker questions has dropped dramatically. but those wondering about the rainmaker tend to be older members.
