Ya, I notice thatsome pro teams still use revys. Why is this? Like I see more and more teams using eggs and Halos but I still see pro teams using revys. Don;t tell me its intelli feed either cause I've seen them on Impulses and otehr various guns.

because not all of them want eggs or halos, the revvy is lighter then both, weight is sentered as opposed to the egg, and they just would probably rather have the light weight then a big bulky hopper. usually its only front guys you see using revvys

Because they do not always shoot really fast.
They have anti chop systems on their guns, so they most likely wont chop, and because they usually shoot bursts, not like 20 balls at once.

A revy is still a great hopper. For most people, it is more than adequate.

I would assume that sponsorship may have something to do with it.

It really wasn't that long ago that some team were still using non- agigitated hoppers.:eek:

maybe because of sponsorships... but since revy and evoii are same company, maybe viewloader wants the team to use both. so both get publicity, and keep sales up on each.

its obviously because you can put stickers on the x-board part on the back of the revvy. ;)

Hoppers break, paint breaks, technical difficulties happen. Maybe a team broke/damaged/dirtied a good hopper and they're using a back-up hopper up front until they have the time to clean/repair. With an eye, it doesn't really matter.

A lot of players also like the smaller profile of the revy. i.e. front players.

revvys are light, stable, small and they do the job. thats pretty much it

I figure they are reliable trusted hopper that most all of them are used to playing with... Also the fact that you can still get paint out if the batteries die ;) .

I wonder why they don't use ricochet's. In most reviews I have read, the rico is most consistant in feeding and the revy isn't the most consistant. :| Mayby it has something to do with the amount it holds?

Probably has more to do with sponsorship as Ricochet doesn't sponsor many teams (no pro teams I can think of)... Ricochets are also extremely loud and are not to fast, I honestly think a good revy (x-board and impellars) will be a little bit faster.

revys are cool and light the egg is bigger and u have a better chance of getting hit wit the egg than the revy...:D

I know that....its loyalty to sponsorship. If Viewloader would give me a hopper or two (not even talkin like the pay him and give him whatever he wants) I would say that the Revy is the best hopper ever too.

as long as it pleased the sponsor, they would say whatever was needed probably.. even if they sounded like your 4 year old niece :)

NOt all of them shoot fast. usuallly front players use revvys. They snap shoot, so they dont need a fast hopper.
