I have a 2001 vertical cocker. It is completely stock, the barrel has been upgraded to a dye SS though. I Use co2. What should I upgrade to make my gun better? Also what kind of cradle and ASA should I get?

If you want to go lp get Pneumatics like a Palmer rock reg, and a Shocktech Bomb 3 way. As for a valve go with a AKA tornado or Madmann Rocket valve. Also for the bolt Get some kind of Shocktech delrin bolt, like the superfly. Also Get a better Main reg such as a MAcdev Gladiator or AKA sidewinder etc.. And last, buy not least get a Nitrogen tank, like a PMI, crossfire, Centerflag etc. :)

What I got that helped out the most is two things.Shocktech swing trigger, shocktech drop forward. This will help out so much I cant tell you.

The thing I would get after that is a 32 degree hammer hit. Many people don't know about this one but man it will make your trigger smooth when firing.

depends on your air source. if your system has the dovetail rail, you won't need a bottomline. if you're runing CO2 or a screw-in nitro, a regular bottomline will fit ST's drop, or you can buy their bottomline adaptor, which attaches to the rail. so if you switch to nitro, that's a consideration.

As far as upgrades go, you're already halfway there, you bought a new barrel. I'd take a look at a new frame, either aluminum 45 or a pivot style, depending on what your personal pref is. Then get some trigger work done to make the gun fly, although the stock guns now are pretty fast...

As you become more of a performance fiend, you may want to upgrade parts, but the ones that matter most are both regs. The stock front pneumatics (x-way and ram) are fine unless you want a pretty color, but having an adjustable LPR is nice when you start to fiddle w/the gun. I'd recommend Palmer's Rock...
The stock bolt and valve flow plenty good, unless you "need" to run low LP. KAPP has a nifty little valve/cup seal that's turned down for better flow, but that's really all I'd change on it.
Nothing is really gained by buying an aftermarket hammer kit.

what is the difference between a hinge frame and a swinge trigger frame?

The hinge, blade, pivot or swing trigger are like a normal markers trigger. Like a Spyder, I guess. But you can get the trigger pull down to VERY low lengths, and empty your hopper in seconds :).Short stroking is also a lot harder. Nice upgrade (but expensive) all around, but I think it makes front play easier.
The sliding trigger, slides in and out...and that's what you've got on your cocker at the moment.

Short stroking still occurs with hinge frame. Chops are common as well. Some onwers have tuned thier cockers well with the hinge frames but alot times the sear lug just cant catch the hinge trigger sear consistantly because of owners trying to shorten the pull too much. Rate fire increased, but simply cant empty a hopper in a few seconds. The trigger feels alot like a automags trigger. No new technology there.

I suggest changing the stock frame first(metal 45 frame of some sort)
HPA, than a nice inline reg.

I dont understand why alot of people through around all the most expensive, HIGHEST end upgrades at the drop of a dime. Alot of them are "nice to have" and serve no other function. For instance.... why would you ask about what ASA to get? Are you looking at upgrading everything on the gun? otherwise you did ask a pretty broad question.

dude, because 'stock'='crappy' ^_^
if there's an aftermarket part, then it *MUST* be better, eh? hehe

Very good advice BTW ;)
