Snap shooting is where you pop out of either the side or the top of your bunker or other obstacle and quickly squeeze off several rounds at your opponent and duck back down behind the bunker again. It's called snap shooting for how you "snap" your gun up to your face as quickly as possible in order to allow you more time to shoot with minimal time being exposed. Some people just define it as the second half though, being able to quickly bring your gun up to your face and firing it.
Hope this helps:)

Along with bunkering, it's one of the most important skills for front players. That's how they take each other out, really. Snapshoot or bunker.

I was taught that it was basically reacting to the sudden appearance of another player. You basically turn, aim, and instinicvly aim and hope to hit them. It take some practice.

Dpeending on where you are, snap shooting may or may not be the appropriate tactic. However, whenever you come out of your bunker, have your gun up, pointed in the general direction, and ready to fire. If you snap shoot and the other person drops behind his bunker, and you're safe from other fire, STAY OUT and wait for him to pop his little ugly head out again. You'll have the advantage because while your gun is already trianed in on the target area, he'll have to pop out, acquire his target, and aim at it. All you have to do is pull the trigger.

Keep a small profile though! Otherwise YOU'LL catch one in the face.

only expose your barrel and about 1/4ths of your mask shoot 6 rounds pop back in your bunker. never go over the top. i see so many ewbs do this. and never go out the same side more than 2x. but then remember not to go back and forwarths from the sides in the same order. switch it up. cause if you shoot 2x out the left and 2x out the right they'll figure it out.

bruce lee or some sort of fighting guy wrote that in every fight there is a rythm and in order to win you must establish a rythm of your own choosing early on, and then destroy it with attacks that they would never expect. i think im saying that you should go in a random order of where you pop out, actually going over the top aint too bad if your just going to look. but never shoot over the top, you leave so much of yourself open. also dont be worried if they are shooting at your bunker, theyre just painting the bunker and you have the same risk of being hit as if you just did it anyways. at least you know theyre exposed and out there.

Thats actually something I'd like to ask. At my field bunkering isnt allowed and so its either a surrender rule or just whoever hits the other guy first (if ever :) ).
Anyhow what often happens is people end up laying down a hail of paint against a bunker Im behind and I almost always stay behind it and wait for the hail to stop. Usually I then pop out real quick to make sure they're either visible or hidng. And either squeeze off some shots or pop back into cover. What I want to ask is if you guys would pop out in the middle of that rain of paint and try and get the guy(s) while they are shooting at you?
