I went to urban quest and a guy that works there enters tourneys frequently, he has a few trophies next to the fill station for everyone to look at. He is considered very good. I played w/ him on my team and he owns a black dragun with HPA and an All American barrel, ricochet, and maybe a few other upgrades. He was awsome. Took out several other older people with timmies and such. Moral of the story, Guns dont matter THAT much, he survives in tournies w/ a "sear tripper" so if you own one dont be discouraged to use it in a tourney.

Thats not really a moral..... thats more like a statement..
A moral is like... the gun doesnt make the player, skill makes the player....

Some guys seem to think I'm good just because my gun is cool-looking... Second thought, some dude yelled out "We need beauty on our team!" :eyes: He could've been talking about the gun. *shrugs*
True, guns don't matter so much at times, but if you want to play at your best, sometimes having a good gun can help you reach your full potential or at least help a person out with their confidence and help them play better.

Me and 3 of my friends went paintballing with a Spyder, 2 piranhas, and a Tippmann against 5-7 other people, but we still win without losing a guy, so guns dont really matter because we were screaming a lot the whole game. But I also agree with Sindy.

i dont know why people say everything depends on the gun you get for how good you are. the only reason why people buy angels is to brag. i dont even see why people buy cockers unless there on a team. if your going to play paintball once a week or so then all you really need is a spyder or a tippmann.

my friend just joined a 10 - man team and was telling me about one of the front players who was like 4'5'' and and can run friggin fast, this dude sold his Angel IR3 for a silver bullet!, he said the gun was way smaller and more compact and he liked it better for what he did.

Sold an IR3 for a silver bullet, yeah, right. At least make it sound somewhat believable.
I don't know why people keep saying the gun doesn't make the player, I don't ever recall somebody saying it did. Usually if somebody has all paintball gear, and a very nice marker, he or she is a player who's been playing for a decent amount of time and has picked up that stuff along the way. Only every so often will you find a player who is a newbie and buys all that stuff right away cause he's rich.
The marker doesn't make the player of course, but it does help. If your marker is more consistant, then you will hit more people, if its faster, you can shoot more, and do your job better, whether it be to snap, or lay cover it doesn't matter. Either way, the better the marker, usually the better you play, I know i'll play better with my trix as opposed to a dragun any day.

hey cocker kid, why doesn't that sound believable?, just cause someone found a cheaper marker that he liked cause it was small more comfortable or whatever its his decision right? the guy's short, the silver bullets small, he just licked it better so what and also i never said the gun doesn't make the player, just cause i said a guy sold his angel for a silver bullet doesn't mean crap, it means a guy sold his angel for a silver bullet duh, they guy had the angel, and he maybe shot the silver bullet played with possibly, and decided he wanted it over his angel for his style pf play, but that deosn't mean he or I don't think the gun doesn't make the player, i would have to say i agree, a better gun Can make u play better, i have a spyder Electra DX, thats good enough for me now, but i'd love to have a trix, or and angel maybe even e-orracle, anyway, so i'll just leave ur post of as ignorant and spoken out of contexct, and i'll just ignore it, and u don't have to belive what i said i don't care thats fine with me, i've seen post before where u didn't belive the person(s) posting and u don't belive me typical, later.

hmmm a couple periods wouldve been nice in there...
how can you lick a marker better? i mean one might taste better so youd lick it more often, but thats not licking it better, thats licking it more often.
i tend to agree w/ cocker kid on the likelihood of it all. one doesnt give away a $1000 marker for a $170 marker. not the way it works in the real world. theres a sticky for fictional stories buddy, i suggest you check it out.

btw u said theres a sticky for ficional stories buddy and suggested i check it out....well for starters i'm nut ur buddy, i don't care if u spend all ur time in there or not i don't think its for me...but thankz for the info about it ;)

There's a little quote button on the bottom left hand side of somebody's post, that seems like it'd be useful for you.

Actually, it is a moral. You're thinking more of an aphorism. He who lies down with dogs rises with fleas.

an ir3 is smaller then a silver bullet...
Ebonclaw
10-23-2003, 11:48 AM
IR3s are smaller and far lighter than silver bullets. Especially the C&C ones. And I'm not sure why I should put an immense amount of faith in what you're saying when English is your second language. Maybe you're trying to say he stole someone's Angel because he had a silver bullet, and was jealous even though he had a perfectly good gun, and your lack of the English language is just preventing you from expressing yourself in more fluent terminology?
Or maybe you just have this weird insecurity about possessing a Spyder so you're trying to justify the existence of blowbacks in an Electro world so you feel better about your gun, because if you really beleived that it was the player, and not the gun, you would have just kept your mouth shut and not given a damn about the conversation.
Dude. You shoot a Spyder. That's fine. I'm ok, you're ok. Hell, I shot a Spyder. There's nothing wrong with them. But I never had to make up stories to justify the existence of Spyders in tourny play by anyone other than Bad Company.
I have no problem with Spyders. I know them in and out. And the Silver Bullet is a Spyder clone, so I know it well enough. And they work. And you can win with them. But you'd have to be out of your mind to trade an IR3 for a Silver Bullet. Because if you weren't, you'd sell the IR3, buy a Silver Bullet, and have about a $600 profit left over depending on how used your IR3 was. So no one in their right mind is going to flat out sell an IR3 for a Silver Bullet.

ok, i asked my friend who told me about the guy that bought the silver bullet and he said he Didn't sell his IR3.. my bad, he kept it but uses the silver bullet...I have No idea why he'd want the silver bullet when he has an IR3, it sounds crazy to me to that someone would do that but I believe my friend. hahaha and no English is not my second language Ebonclaw also what u said..."if you really beleived that it was the player, and not the gun, you would have just kept your mouth shut and not given a damn about the conversation."....Yes i agree i should of just kept my mouth shut and not give a d@mn. and also no insecurity here about owning a spyder, I love my spyder and will use it, upgrade it, and keep it forever....but i'm not a Kingman freak that loves only blowback spyders or anything like that, I would like to get a timmy in a few years when my game is inproved and i need/want a new gun.
P.S.a better marker doesnt imporve ur game...u inprover ur game but a better marker can help!.

The reason he doesn't believe you is that it's common sense that you don't trade a $1300 gun for a $200 gun. Duh!
