well this is the thing my friend has a problem with his spyder tl sometimes it works right and then sometimes it shoots one then he has to cock it and it does that over and over does anyone know whats up

You could always refer to my F.A.Q. to see if that helps any... ;) Anyway, I would check for leaks, replace the striker o-ring if dirty at all, keep the seals lubed, and check for excess wear on the sear.
