hello again,
fairly new paintballer looking for a new gun. i've narrowed it down to spyder TL plus and Xtra. ii'm leaning towards Xtra because of V-feed. but alot of reviews talk about TL plus outperforming other markers. To me both are similar, just different in small parts. but which gun performs better stock and which gun performs better tricked?
thanks!

I like the Xtra. I had the same decision. Both gun's stock performance will be pretty much the same. Some say powerfeed is better on blowbacks and some say vertical feed is the best and should be on all guns. Both guns are very easily to clean. Both can be upgraded just as much as the other. It pretty much comes down to if you like verticall feed or powerfeed. Vertical feed is my preference.

I'm going to move this where all the other spyder owners can offer their opinions. Moved to Kingman forum.:)

for $180
you could get a straight feed spyder and a jnj ceramic. that's not bad. that is what I would do instead of the Xtra.

Come to think of it, straightfeed becomes a pain after a lil' bit. It's a really cool modificiation to do to your gun, however, lean out the right side and your profile is really large, and balls don't feed so well... With a Warp Feed, it works great. :D It's your choice what you want. My friends' plastic elbow on his Xtra cracked, and he had to use tape to keep it together. Also while running back from a bunker, his hopper completely fell off... Standard 135* (I think that's what they're angled at...) elbows can break too, but they're really easy to replace...

is warp feed the thing that is down on the right side (in the pictures I've seen). If so, I don't care how good they are, those make a marker look so, so, so, ugly. But that's just my opinion.
so what's the best?
straight
power
vert.

The Warp Feed was created by AGD. It lowers your profile when coming out the side, but is very expensive... It loads balls very quickly as well, another plus. ;) As for feed type? It's preference... If you've got a Warp Feed, I'd go with the straight feed. You can aim at what you're shooting at over the top of the gun, and still feed as fast as vertical. :D

okay, I'm gonna take a different path here..
I'm not dissin either gun here, mind you..
are you going ot make some mad upgrades to these guns?
if the answer is yet then check out the place in my sig and just buy a compact. Now, if you want vert feed but the one with that...also, the compact(the non-java ones) don't have the quickstrip bolt that the xtra does. Trust me, it's a NICE thing to have. I played a day with a Fishie and I loved that part of the gun...chop a ball...putll it out, squeegee throuh, and BAM you're done...

Hey Guys!
Thanks for all your hlep. I've decided to go with the xtra. I prefer the looks and from what i'm hearing, it performs as well if not better than TL+ and Shutter. Anyone hear anything good or bad about the JT Excellorator 3.0?
Thanks again!
Definetly get the Xtra. It has vert feed and a decient drop forward and is like $2.25 more than a TL +. Order it from paintballgear.net and get the Xtra, a barrel if you want(you really don't need it just yet though) and order 2 metric to us adapters and a 6 inch satinless steel hose to replace the crappy, leaky microline that comes on the gun.
