Any one know were the word sniper came from i see it being used all the time. Just a lil history on it. I came from Bitin way back when, they used to hunt a bird called a snipe. This bird is very fast and small. and has very accute hearing so u have to stalk it quietly. andn you would have to be a really good shot to hit it hence "sniper"

Figured id post it on tippmann forum since we got the flatline :D

or how about the general paintball forums seeing as any gun could techinically be used as a *sigh* sniper rifle?

tru u could use any gun but paintball guns are still the same acuracy at same maybe less ranges of muskets from revolutionary war

I plan to do to snipers what was done to the snipe. Hunt them to extinction.

Dude so ur telling me ur gunna go kill marines and stuff theirs no snipers in paintball no gun can shoot farther then 300 feet usually unless u have ur velocity really jacked up and are shooting all over the place. So their are no snipers lol But yeah guys theirs no snipers in paintball sorry. And if you have a really high powerd scope on ur gun.............. all i can say is " i feel bad for you"

i was telling people where the word came from ....... This word relates TO USING A REAL GUN one that dosent shoot paintballs. i just figured it was interesting and id let people know
