I i want a 10-12 inch barrel prolly, and it would be good if it was black. If you could help i would really appreciate it.

To me, accuracy is the most important thing. Lapco barrels have been proven to be the most accurate barrels you can buy. I'd go with a Lapco bigshot. It's the barrel I use on my Model 98 and on my Intimidator.

At $50, it really can't be beat.

Save up and buy yourself a Flatline. I got my Flatline NEW for $102.00. I got it by asking them to mount the Flatline and gave them the stock barrel. Doesn't bother me, the stock barrel was probably crap anyway. But this was on a new Tippman 98 Custome, but yeah, Flatlineso nly run you bout $50.00 more so I'd take the Flatline over anything else. Even though the barrel is a bit loud, you can always drill it.

I would have to agree with County on the barrel issue.... I too have a Lapco Bigshot on my 98 and I prefer it over the flatline for various reasons:D .... I'm not saying that the flatline isn't good because, so far what I've seen, there good.... just that hey I prefer getting the Lapco and buying me some paint with the left over money.... oh well... countypaintball.com sells the Lapco barrels at a good price, check it out

save 12 more bux and buy a flatline. The increased distance you gain is damn incredible. A close friend has one...he throws paint, without arcing it from one side of the field to the other. Some guys won't let him play with it. It is very accurate once you learn how the backspin works. If you don't want to dish out that much cash, go with a Lapco Autospirit or Bigshot. Both are awesome barrels. Personally, I would put a flatline on my mag if I could-

We have M98 Bigshots, Prolite Bigshots and M98 Bead Blasted bigshots enroute to us now. They should be in by early next week. I think they're worth waiting a couple days for.

You can drill the Flatline? I would think that would mess up the backspin effect and turn a nice barrel into a bent peice of metal. Please tell me what it does to improve the performance of the flatline.

i work in a proshop and have to fix many a 98, and the best barrel ive used on them out of otp, dye, SP, and lapco is the teardrop. it may be a little hard to clean after the game ias over if theres a nasty chop but if you care about that then you are way too lazy. theyre only 45-50 bux online. firstcallpaintball.com they are quieter and more accurate on a 98 then a cp 2 piece more accurate than the boomstick and much more accurate than the lapco

I have to disagree with that. I've used both and several people have done independant tests. The Lapco ALWAYS comes out on top for accuracy. It is louder, no argument there. For accuracy though, the Lapco can't be beat.

I'm not knocking the teardrop. It's a nice barrel and we sell it as well. I just don't agree about it being MORE accurate than the Bigshot.
