yes you can and a good reg for co2 is a palmers stabilizer, the stock reg will be good for a bit too

Cockers can run pretty good with CO2. Most high-end guns have serious problems because the solenoid components are ultra sensitive to pressure spikes. (same goes for mags).
The cocker obviously doesnt have a noid. Usually, the worst that happens is the ram with lock open during a spike, or at most blow a hose.

A simple antisiphon will work great! (or a remote, but not both).
