I have a Stingray 2 and my Co2 tank broke. Would it be ok to hook a nitro tank up to it?

Listen dont be stupid, why would you want to put nitro tank on a stingray. why dont you just bye a new gun that is not a pile of like a sting ray. OK

Well, Nitro would work. But it's not needed. CO2 is fine.

pretty sure, but don't go sueing us about it, just get one of your friends to hook it up, or take it to your local shop and see what they say. Most all markers will work with compressed air, hell, even brass eagle. I would check their website just in case, it may sound dumb, but just to double check, but it should work. Joemamma, shut the hell up.

it wouldnt hurt anything on your gun. just kinda pricy and co2 is fine for your gun.

Take your spam elsewhere please.
Yes, although it's not really necessary, nitrogen will work

True story: my friends sting cracked in half after using 4 shots of nitro. Im not bashing brass eagle-i own one myself... but this is just a little advice

In short it would most likely work, but its highly advised against. A smarter buy would be to save a little more money and buy a better marker..
not bashing the stingrays or Brass Eagle but in my opinion I don't think its worth it.

Even if that did happen, which I highly doubt (sorry, but it's hard ot believe a marker would break totally in half), it had nothing to do with the nitrogen.

If you own nitro already then it's totally worth it. People don't understand that nitrogen doesn't come out at 3000 or 4500 psi, it comes out at about 800 psi in presets and on adjustable tanks the highest it can come out is 1000 psi. Nitro would be way better than co2 because you won't get velocity spikes.

No one wants to hear it...
nitro Will work, but not as efficiently as other guns. So just get a new Co2 tank.

I saw a guy using a small nitro tank on a stingray at my field a while back. His gun seemed to be working great too (he shot me out once!), but perhaps he did some internal work though to make it better able to handle the pressure? It works, that's for sure though.

Uhh....Nitro is way more efficient than co2 in any gun.

Nitro only comes out of the tank at about 800 psi in preset tanks and only up to 1000 psi in adjustable tanks. And it constantly flows at that pressure. Co2 can fluctuate in pressure from between 500 psi to 1200 psi. So basically in warm weather co2 would have a higher pressure than nitro would.

i seriously thought that this was a joke.... but anyway i wouldnt feel safe with a stingray that had nitro on it... i wouldnt advise it... maybe if you bought a smart parts tanks with the reg on it...

Well regardless, it's possible. Probably involves a little trial and error work on what works best.

You people must not understand the fact that all nitro tanks have regs on them.

I think they mean an adjustable tank reg since they think the stingray can't handle 800psi on a preset tank. They're thinkin you'll need between 800 and 450 or something.

This thread has been beaten to death with a wet noodle.
Bottomline: Nitro will work on Stingrays. He got his answer, happy day.
