I am definetly going to be buying either a rat or rjr in the next couple of months. what do you guys think is a better deal
RJR w/ new equalizer board (about $700)
or
RAT ($700)
and also if i use a preset N2 tank with the output set at 850 would that be a good tank to use.

i would say get the RJR, b/c u would already have WAS and u can upgrade it to the same stuff as a RAT uses. And yes the 850 psi tank will work b/c ur Maxflo will regulate it down to he 150-180 psi that it needs to be

Hmm... That's a tough choice actually...
Rat Jr + WAS = 675
Rat = 715+
Well... Main reason why Rat costs alot more than the RJR is because it has a Freak barrel, and although it's great, the Proggressive is a good barrel as well... So... Im thinking 60% go with Rat Jr + WAS, and 40% go with Rat. :|

Well, if you haven't purchased the tank yet, I'd get one that is preset at 450. But if you already have a nitrogen system that is preset at 850, that will work fine.
As for Rat or RJR... I'd go for the RJR. It's basically the EQ board vs. Freak system. I think the EQ board would be something more worthwhile to spend your money on. Also, the progressive is a half decent barrel.

the difference between the Rat and RJR?
Well the freak system, VFF(vodoo full flow), ND slikshot ram, upgraded hammer(diff from rjr), plus some other cosmetic stuff.
But on between the two, if you have the $$ for the Rat go for it. Why? Because no one knows if the WAS board is ever going to come out. I am sure it will but until it does I am not getting my hopes up.
Now if it does come out before you get your marker, then definetly go RJR + was then get the VFF mod later!
Congrats on choosing a true winner of a marker=)
After seeing that was video, id take the was over the freak anyday.

The only thing you're basically giving up if you buy the RJR is the 03' rat's milling. Everything else you can upgrade on the RJR to be the same as an 03' rat. WAS board....words can't describe it. It's....awesome. Get a rat jr.

Alright you guys made up my mind im gonna get the RJR with WAS.
I just need a friggin job to get some cash and i'll be all set.
Also anyone who has a RJR are they reliable guns, what problems occur most often if any?

Hella reliable. Just make sure your max-flo don't creep up. If your pressure creeps up over 220, you will blow your solenoid.
Btw, you may wanna get the VFF done to your RJR also.

How would i know if the pressure is creeping up. and what does the VFF do?

Watch your pressure gauge on the max flo after every game. Make sure it is not moving up after games. So basically just watch it carefully.
I think the rats have a bleed pressure valve so if the pressure does go over 220 it blows off the extra pressure, not sure on that one.
The VFF? Um seriously I don't remember what it does, ask Dr. J he would know.

A VFF gives the solenoid it's own air supply cause there is a tapped hole on the rats. You need a VFF/HFV to get the advantage of this(just a special vertical adapter). It's works very much like an LPR but without the added weight and fiddling around with adjustments. Not quite as good but still just about(90% as good as LPR). It helps with FSDO and bolt stick. I'll be getting one soon for my RJR.
