I ordered a PMI 68/3000 tank from PaintballGear.com on Tuesday. Yesterday I'm checking my visa account and noticed that the charge was run through twice. The first time cleared, but then, it was run through a second time and a hold for the amount of purchase was placed on my account (as if I'd been double billed). Well, this kinda torqued me because I have a visa check card; all purchases made with the card come straight outta my checking account.

I called my bank and they said there was nothing they could do immediately unless paintballgear.com faxed them a letter stating they'd release the second authorization number.

I called Paintballgear (a little irate I might add) and explained the problem and the bank's suggested solution. The sales rep, a guy named Mark, called my bank, faxed the letter and handled the matter IMMEDIATELY. This is the second time someone at paintballgear.com has saved my Arse.

And that's why I make the majority of paintball purchases from them:

SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

personally i prefer BBT. the guys are always really nice and everything comes in 2 days ( as apposed to 5 or 6 from pbgear.) also, that double billing stuff never happens in the first place. and i always get atleast one broken ball per box from pbgear (yes i do ground shipping), and i've never gotten a broken ball from BBT. the thing i do like about pbgear is the wide variety and low paint prices. i think both sites should start carying more specific gun upgrades, because that's what most people i know spend the most money on besides paint.

they don't have a huge selection on their site...but if you call they might have it.....

anyway ....I think that Mike is a great guy at CEpaintball.....I ordered a F/X beaver tail and what I thought was a balck VA...(but I ordered a chome by mistake...)....

well with my cocking rod...(a twisted by Kapp also)...it didn't fit the rod would have hit it....

well I called mike and explained that and also told him I order a chrome VA by mistake...

He said that the beaver tails he has gotten lately seem to have a shorter rod.....and just send it back along with the VA and he would credit my account for the tail and replace the VA...


and he ships USPS priorty like 2-days 3 at most...


I also like BBT and pbgear.....but always check CE first...JMO

Yea. PBGear.com has giving me nothing but a headache! I never order from them anymore. Your lucky you got such good service. usually I pay for the 2 day air, and get my stuff like 2 weeks later.

BBT paintball gives exceptional service!

PBgear takes forever to ship, but then again, you live about an hour or 2 from them so....

I ordered the JT Bunker'd T-shirt from Pbgear and I got OK service. The day after I ordered it they called me and told me it was backordered i told them I would wait and it was suppossed to ship the next few days, well about 6 days went by and I called them, they said it hadnt shipped yet, so i switched it to a diferent shirt and it came the next 2 days........

blake, did you get the one from alternativesports4less.com? like they are the ones who are holding the auctions? i dont think they are PMI tanks because it says that they are "Pressure Tech" tanks. i was gonna buy from one of those auctions but i dont want a pressure tech POS.
