Friend thinks his upgraded spyder will be better then my upgraded BKO!

I love spyders and stuff, but my freind doesn't think my BKO will be better then his spyder, he will be getting a Teardrop, esp frame, reloader, assualt block (maybe) and a reg, probably 50-60 dollar range..thats the most he will upgrade..my upgrades include BKO with uncapped board at 35 bps (shooting at 18), egg 2, B.L. Torpedo reg, and All American barrel.


There are little more add on's i will have and so will he but performance wize BKo is overall better correct?

This includes drop, vertical ffeds and more look goodies but...:confused:

I would say BKO, but spyders can be nice.
BKO though, but just remember, its not the gun, its the player.

Also it's the player, ever since i got my sheridan working the way i want i have become a better player, confidante and so on, i got the skills, the gun but i wanna get a new gun something diff, and the BKO well i i'm in :love: :love:

The ESP frames are capped at 13 bps so his definitely won't be able to shoot as fast, but other than that they'll probably be very similar.

How so? BKo run like 300 psi if not lower and weill ablr to run like 100 psi...also it's a true electro, back yourself, i wanna know why they would be similar:confused:

um who cares if its a true electro, that wouldnt make it sure any better. i dont think a bko runs at 300 psi below a spyder, thats a lot of xtra psi on a spyder. in no way will it be any more accurate if they have same barrrel same paint. perhaps more consistant? well, all your friend has to do, get a spring kit, a nice reg(like the torpedo) and be set. lets see, speed? i doubt u can shoot over 10 bps for all too long. besides, what does that matter. it only takes one good ball to get a guy out. more efficent. yes, unless the spyder guy puts a new valve on. i mean, a drop and stuff like rises and stuff lilke that will in no way make a gun better. thats just cosmetics. he can make a spyder as good as a bko by adding uprgrades. but, if the bko maxed his out, and the spyder maxed his out, the bko would win. they will be close cuz really, a hopper and board wont make it any better really. your barrles are pretty close to being the same, the reg= same. so really. his wont be all that worse.

my thoughts
just now, tell me how yours will be better. no flaming just, a spyder can be as good as a bko.

lower operating pressure doesnt mean your gun is better... my e-mag runs at around 400 need an input of about 600(i just use a preset with 850 output less scewing around) so it can get regulated down easy then hits the ball with about 65 psi or less and its the best gun i have ever used(and i have used just about every gun at one point or another)

but the BKO still has the board over the spyder. If his board can shoot 36bps, that will mean better response time then the spyder's 13.

OK i don't think your getting the point a BKO will out-perform a xtra with some upgrades, if i upgrade my gun then hella it would be better, he has done no mods to it what so ever...If you ask me BKO will out -perform the spyder:) :P


No pounding of a hammer, not a sear stripper, a true electro. Low operating pressure, reg will be better (BOB long topedo) better bolt, board, valve...:| ;)

yea i agree, bko is better but be sure toi get rid of the damn reg right away, the stock is HORRIBLE, no consistency at all, but when you think about it, you can make a spyder into a timmy if u really tried, would take alot of effort tho...

um. if the spyder is stock and the bko is stock. the bko is better. if the bko and spyder are upgraded to the same extent. they would be the same. at maxed upgradeability(word?) the bko wont be any better. i mean, a spyder with just a few mods(spring kit and reg) can be as good as a bko.(stock)

yes. but with the upgrades ur both getting, not all that much better. sure it will shoot faster but i doubt you can shoot that fast anyway for very long.

:laugh: , I love spyders i love em alot ( no they don't suck) I just worked on a friends imagine for him and it was fun i installed some stuff here and there for him and he was happy, but anyways all i'm saying is that i think a upgraded BKO will out-perform the spyder, but i see you points and am not in any way disguarding them. :) ....Anymore comments would be nice:)

The BKO and the Spyder when maxed out, will perform on about the same level. See the below link in my sig for a maxed out Spyder.

However, the BKO will be much more cost efficient to acheive the same performance the Spyder would.

Put $500 into a Bushy and $500 into a Spyder and you get a better Bushy.

I have listed the upgrades above... But i will probably change my choices from a B.L. to a sytem x, and with some others, while my friend has decided to only get a new reg, frame, hopper, and L.P. chamber. PLus he will be using Co2

While i will probably get a nice reg, valve, and some other stuff;)

if u spend more money upgrading, total gun is more expensive, i would sure hope ur gun does better

this is just a matter of personal preference, but i dont like spyders, just the way they are laid out. the reg or x-champer is too spread from the grip, making the gun a lot less compact than need be, just like the timmies. the bushy is set up nicely so its still compact while still being spread enough to keep it from being uncomfortable. but thats just my preference
