OK I was really shooting for Impulse (upgraded = $580), have half the money saved for it already and was planning on buying it in November, then my friend comes by and says he has the ability to buy a fairly used Angel LCD for $800-$900. So now I am in dilemma which route to take, please help and the reasons for the choice?

Before you loose much sleep over it, firgure out what the upgrades you want for the angle will cost, as well as the N2 (if you don't already have it) then put aside anouther $100 for repairs just incase the used gun needs any...

Add all that together- now figure how much you want to play and add in the cost of good paint-- Now look at that new total== Do you have that kind of money to spend on Paint ball in say the next 6 mo?

We tend to forget that any gun you buy you most likly will want to add upgrades to-- a NEW Impulse will have no service costs, and you can pick up a great barrel for it and still be a LOT less then theused Angel. Besides, the Impulse with a barrel will give you a lot better preformance then the Angel

thats not true man.

its all about paint to barrel match.

I have said this many, many times... I will say it again. try to listen:

IF YOU HAVE THE SAME EXACT BARREL ON EACH GUN, SHOOTING AT THE SAME EXACT VELOCITY, USING THE SAME EXACT PAINT, THERE IS NO WAY PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE THAT THE RESULTS CAN DIFFER!!!!!!!!!!

its just physics man...

try out each marker, see which one you are more comfortable with.
the angels triggers are shorter/lighter, but is it worth the extra money? maybe to you it is.

But, buying the new impulse is a good idea too.
You can buy a freak (the only barrel worth buying), and you can get a nitro tank... maybe a new trigger too!
a dropforward. a 12vt revvy, or a HALO... (I have one comming!)
lots of stuff to add on.

I am guessing that the angel is scratched or something to be that cheap.... look at it, play with it (or at least dry fire it)

get which one you feel right playing with.

Thanks for advices, I am back on the track to the Impulse :) I think it's the "wiser" way to go and still have samething to upgrade later on.

What is HALO?

Get the angel. Look at all the (less obvious) features that it has.

Slap an eclipse trigger on your Impulse and it'll be worth getting over the Angel. I'm used to a Spyder pull where I could rest my fingers on the trigger as I run. Little did I know it was so light, that I shot myself in the foot like 9 times, lmao.

No, an eclipe trigger will not make it worth getting over an angel, the angel will be faster, and will feel better by far. There is no competition between stock impulse and angel, even a freak factory can't compete w/an adrenelin.

I would have to say thats its all opinion on the perfomance over an angel or imp. The imps triggger with werm stick is really nice and easy to rip on. I would say as easy as an angels trigger.

Umm, rebukes aren't really appropriate. Everybody has their OWN taste in guns. I myself like my Imp trigger better than the Angels. Whether or not you agree is to be kept to yourself or stated nicely. Being rude and disrespecting others taste doesn't get anybody anywhere.

I can compare the following having owned, or currently owning each of the following setups:

~ Impulse with stock trigger (original aluminum thick trigger)
~ Impulse with Blade trigger
~ Impulse with Werm Double
~ Impulse with Wermstick
~ Angel LED with stock single trigger
~ Angel LED with Adrenalin single trigger
~ Angel LED with stock double trigger
~ Angel LCD with stock double trigger
~ Angel LED with Adrenalin double trigger
and....
~ Angel LCD with Cobra Flat trigger.

Now...can you compare all of them, NO.

~ IMO Single vs Double is like night and day.
~ Stock Imp vs anything electro and the stock Imp sucks.
~ The pull on my Impulse with any of the upgrade trigger was as long (short) as the pull on my Cobra or stock double, both adjusted by me.
~ The Adrenalin Double on the LED, setup by Adrenalin is the shortest trigger I have ever seen in my life. I don not know what they did but it has a better feel than any of the other IMO. But then again, maybe its a mental thing because I payed so much for the Adrenalin LED. :D
~ The FEEL of any of the trigger is different, even from the Wermstick to the Blade to the Cobra flat, which are all similar in design all have a different feel.

Triggers are something that is personal preference, what feels right or better to me, might feel aweful to you or someone else. Anyone should try it before they pass judgement.

There is my .02 for the day. :cool

BTW, I only own 3 markers, I've just change triggers and in some cases trigger frames.

Just like everyone else, its on personal preference. But keep in mind that you can get a new Angel LCD at www.pbgear.com for $800 or $900.

In the long run I'd say the Impulse is more versitile (can run CO2 and Air) while the Angel is a pretty and high performance marker.

Both guns are great, its a tough decision to make... but its one only you can really decide.
