Ok this is prolly a dumb question so here goes.
I have a rear cocking spyder.
If I pull the rear cocking rod to cock it before gassing up, and then I put in that thing you take out to make it rear cocking (is it called a back block) would it then be closed bolt? cuz the bolt would be completely sealed in.
thanks,
and what makes it closed bolt if that wouldn't?
THanks,

no it's still open bolt
open bolt : (bolt starts back)
1. pull trigger
2. bolt moves forward
3. gun fires
4. Bolt moves backards
closed bolt: (bolt starts forward)
1. pull trigger
2. gun fires
3. bolt moves back
4. release trigger
5. bolt moves forward
The bolt starts out "closed". That is why it's called closed bolt.

Heh You should try out that closed bolt system called the "rail", which Is available for any blow back marker that has a Field strip pin.

actually in an autococker when you pull the trigger it fires the ball comes back and when you lt go of the trigger it closes on the ball. The repeats. I don't know if its like this with all closed bolts but a closed bolt is the bolt is closed it fires the ball then opens and closes again.
I was just saying the bolt moves back with the trigger pull and forward with the trigger release.
