i'm not too sure about the turbo valve pin and why it has two flat sides, but i think it has to do with increasing air flow....for which way the flat side should go in, i don't think it matters.....

it might be because the threaded rod is too long...that shouldn't be a problem getting hte cup seal on....that's wierd...

it might just be becase theyre spyder cup seals, im going to buy a lapco one. One more queston, u dont by ne chance know the size and thread of the bolt that holds in the asa adaptor? i had to cut mine becasue i neeeded it horter after my asa was drilled, but i messed up the threads at the bottem, and it wont screw in

ok...it doesn't matter which way the flat side faces....because the air that passes back past the pin is used to blow back the striker.....your new one has two sides....(Like the 32* valve pin)...because it allows for better flow blow the stiker back when running LP....so go ahead and use it...as for the leak ...it will leak at the cup seal until you fire a few rounds to seat the cup seal....if it still leaks after a couple of shots....leave it under pressure over night it will help seat it.....
Or you can just get a Lapco cup seal...they like never leak...they are a bit softer and work great....I never heard anyone say their lapco cup seal ever leaked..
