Okay I'm new to the forum and a newbie to the sport (weren't we all at some time).gun kept jamming, stock squeegie does not seem to clean after market barrel, thermal lens fogged over like a mo*fo 4. could not get darn barrel to shoot straight, shots sloped upward then flopped on target after firing a few shots and compensating for variance, no consistency, chopped balls like a woodcutter at a lumberjack tourney, R/T was no good to me, it would work (like a 2-3 round burst only if I engaged ever so slightly)

its the a5...so it shouldnt jam from pinching balls....
the stock squeege is the worst. get a new one. Java makes a good pull through
what mask are you usuing?
try some paint with a good match to the bore of your barrel
try a regulator
sounds like your Cyclone might have something wrong with it.

my dad's a5 has some messed up parts that wouldnt make the cyclone work correctly.
i called tippmann and they sent me free replacement parts. now it works well.
btw. installation is tricky

more info on intial post....I run CO2, and I want to believe its not the cyclone feed, just before we went there I had the guy at the pro-shop do some fine tuning and that sucker was ripping....then I got to the spot, chronoed and during the course of the game it started jamming, I would re-cock and it would start to fire again, I neva even got of one good round of staedy shots (nada) so I don't think it was the temp. at such an early stage....I read somewhere if the tank is screwed in to thight it constricts air flow?? oh and the mask is a package deal w/ the gun, V-Force, maybe they have better lenses I can swap out? One other, has anyone else played w/ an A-5 and a freak front, does this affect performance....all I really want is some consistency so I know what to expect...wish there was an A-5 oracle I could go to...oh well, back to the pro-shop...thanx n.e ways guys

More consiensy you say? Buy nitro... or, get a anti-siphone on your tank and buy a reg.

ok, so i went to the pro-shop today, guy there filled my tank and BAM , that thing fired like the first time, so now I'm thinking "What da Hell!?!?!"...well such is life...anti-siphon, is that where you insert a copper pipe into the tank itself so it sucks only gas and leaves the liquid in the tank, if so consider it done....the guys at the pro-shop said all of my problems were probably linked to the poor paintball quality at Skirmish, i wouldn't doubt it b/c those balls really sucked, oh and i picked up a decent squeegie...thanx to all
