i cannot figure out how to get my J&J ceramic barrel out. i know its quarter-turn release, but im still having trouble with it. i put it in earlier today, and i remember lining up the slot, so i thought id take the gun apart from the backso i could see how to line the slot up with the little nub. but i couldnt figure out how to get the bolt out- the manual was really vague. is there some rick to it? please help me

You might have put the barrel in wrong. Was there a lot of resistance when you pushed the barrel in? Is the hole in the barrel lined up with the feed tube? If not, you probably pushed it in wrong and the little retaining pin is in the slot for the barrel nubbin. Either way, you can easily remove the barrel by first removing the grip frame by unscrewing the fieldstrip screw and the allen bolt. Pull the body rail off and the barrel should slide right out with little effort. If you look on the front half of the body rail you will see a little metal piece that sticks up. This is the piece that the slots on the barrel fit into. Good luck, and the only other advice is to get used to the barrels ;)

i actaully was able to knock the bolt out, and with the help of my brother, pull the brrel out too, but the J&J barrelis strange because you have to line it up right- it takes an 8th of a turn rather than a quarter of one- basicallly the slot the nub goes into is shaped like a "T". but even if you likne it up right, it is still reallly hard to pull out. and its not the nubbin slot either. but thanks for your help. i might get a new barrel for my mag though- any suggestions? i was thinking maybe a lapco bigshot
