NO! DO NOT USE NORMAL OIL!

If you do you can kiss your solenoid goodbye! Don't you people read your manuals?

Well depends on where you use it, the internals *other than the bolt* shouldn't be lubed with normal oil and if you run out here's what you can do. There's usually tons of DOW on the backcap and other locations on the marker, take that stuff and use it up. I'm sure using normal oil once or twice on your aluminum bolt wouldn't hurt too bad.

is it safe to just use it on the bolt? because that is the place i have to re-lube the most and its eating up all of my dow...it gets dirty the easiest so i have to clean it and re-lube it constantly.

Ok if you understood how a impulse worked this would help.

When the bolt comes back, it is SUCKING in air. all the way to the solenoid. Your gonna hurt your solenoid, DON'T do it! Stop being cheap and buy some more DOW.

Your cap shouldn't have lots of extra DOW if you cleaning correctly, it causes some of the FSDO and FPS problems.
