i havea vertical max flow on my impulse, and the hexagon shaped brass/bronze piece that sticks out is leaking, very little, and sometimes a lot? did i blow an o-ring or something? its constantly leakining from there, and i was wonderin why?
It could be dirty. An o ring may be blown. You may just need some oil, it depends.

well i did clean and grease the max flow the other day, could it be that the teflon on the mac line has gone bad? its coming out from the top of the brass piece where that little cirlce protrudes and i dont kno wut it really is

There shouldn't be any teflon on your Vertical Reg, or for that matter, anywhere on your Impulse. It's spells that out (on page two, 10th line, right in the middle) of your Impulse ManualDo not use Teflon Tape on any part of this Marker It can break off and plug stuff up, it will also void out your warranty! What's your input pressure?

well the input is about 180psi, but i have not had any problems concerning teflon on the reg until now, and i doubt it is the teflon, because it never happened before. if it was the teflon i would have had this problem from day one. but i guess i will go to the shop tomorrow, and have my shop technician help me clean out the reg and locktite it up . but wut if the problem persists?

Take off the leaking part, clean, reapply tape/loctight and try again.
When I have a leaking part I just try it again and it was usually just me that put it on bad.
I think maybe some of us missed on this one-- the part you are discribing (sorta a big brass nut) is no doubt the PRV (Pressure Relese Valve)
This means one of 2 things. One you reg is wrong and you are getting more than the indicated 180 (which I doubt) OR the PRV has gone "bad' I have to replace these little guys from time to time for no good resion. I would just put a new PRV on it and most likly that will slove everything. This should be a warrenty iteam.

BTW-- Kat is right, you should not be using Teflon tape. The problem is that IF any of the teflon tape hangs off the inside of the threads, it will at some point in the future get into the air stream and end up on an important part (often inside the solonoid). If you know HOW to use Teflon correctly and are careful, this should not be an issue.
I recently had a call from a very uptight mother demanding a refund because her son's new gun did not work. When I say the gun, it had enought teflon tape on it for every joint on 10 guns. i honestly don't know why he chose to move the fitting from the bottom of the gagit grip to the fron of the gun, but in doing so he must have used a full roll of telon tape up. It took Walt 4 hours to get all the teflon out of the gun, then he had to replace the coil in the solonoid and replace the vertical adapter (it was cross threaded) While the fittings were still OK, he chose to replace them too as it looked like someone had been working on the gun with vicegrips.
It so easy to incorrectly use teflon, that SP warns againse using it at all.
