hose for expansion chamber too long

I got an expansion chamber for my Spyder Compact 2000. The hose that came with the kit was too long by about 1/2". What should I do?

just let it make a curve. my friend has the spyder 2000 and added an expansion chamber with out changeing the hose. that was a ss hose.

if it's micro or macro......just cut the 1/2" off.....
