Ok, the BKO rocks for any tourney, small, fast etc. take that AA and get the SP mod. the barrel on the BKO is a...dang I forgot what is is called. I know what it is, just forgot the name. The barrel gets gradualy larger bore as it goes. I think it startes at like .689 and ends at like .693? I think those are the bore sizes so it will shoot darts with most all paint. I haven't checked the prices of the AA for a while now, but last time I checked they were a little over 100 if my mind serves me. If you still have cash left over get a new HPR. Or get the Zenitram BKO ASA kit and get a new LPR since the stock BKO LPR isn't very good.

Just suggestions, hope this helps!

Backman-Your thinking of a stepped bore barrel

Also I'd say if you really want to save money, scratch the Stickys (as they dont improve your gun really, just looks and make it a bit more comfy) scratch new barrel or at least the AA (i used to own one, way overated and priced) and go for a 68\3k. You should get enough shots off that. And in place of getting a 68\45k get a vapor valve, and either the SP mod or a vapor bolt, to make you less likley to chop.

if i dont get the AA then what should i get???

And 680 shots isn't that much so are you sure i shouldn't stick with the 68/45???

Well I'd say go with a CP one peice for a barrel and bkos are pretty effcianct and getting things like a new valve and new reg will make them even more effciant.

well the AA is a step bore and CP one piece isn't so is there a performance loss?

How is the teardrop compared to CP 1 piece b/c i like the looks of the teardrop but if the CP is beter thna ill get that.

I personally am not sold on the idea of step bore barrels being better. Personally I'd go with a CP as you can choose your bores.

Agent, thanks for the help with the name, it just excaped my mind.

I have a buddy that said that his stock BKO got 850 shots outta a 68/3000, with a new valve you would get even more.

yah id definatly go with the cp 1 piece, their awsome. smart parts barrels are way over rated and cost way to much for what u get. And if u get a 68/30 tank and cp 1 piece then get a vapor valve and volumizer. ull get like 1200 shots a fill with that set up plus killer consistency.:D

If i was you i would also add a new valve and bolt. I'd go for vapor stuff. And if you want i would also get a chaos chip, but that would depend what position you play. In my opion all back players need one since they'll be shooting the most the fastest. GL on your upcoming tourneys

Wow, I don't know where you guys got your BKO's, but mine is a total gas hog. I used a 68/3000 on my marker, and I was running down from 3000 psi to 1000 psi after each game, and was only shooting about 300-400 rounds, and the gun tended to get a little unstable after that point, when I had no mods (I JUST put on my mitey max, waiting for my vapor valve). I hope those 2 mods do the trick for me on air consumption.

One thing though, is that if your going 68/4500 over 68/3000, you should make sure you can get it filled while you play up to 4500. Otherwise, that makes no difference, and you'd have to go with a bigger tank (like 88cu) to get the benefit if your only filling it to 3000 psi. My local field only does 3000 psi fills, most of the time, they can do higher but dont for open play. I paid $90 for a 68/3000, and just recently found a carbon for $200 88/5000. I should have boughten a good one right away, but now I have a spare for my young broke team mates to borrow when they need.

For barrels, I personally use a J&J Ceramic on my BKO. It shoots like it's silenced it is so quiet, and it seems quite light on the gun, and ran only $65 for a 2 piece ceramic. Here is the link, it was hard for me to find LOL: http://jjperformance.com/

You can get a one piece there for $45 and up, but if you get a J&J, dont forget to use an O ring on the back of the barrel, they dont put one on there, they just send it with the barrel, and make you put it on yourself, and if you dont it sticks a lot and is hard to get off the gun! :o

I dont shoot real fast, but I've yet to chop paint in my BKO, unless its REALLY REALLY crappy paint. Good luck!

You might have one of the older BKO's that couldn't handle preset tanks. What you described sounds to me like an old BKO. The new ones haave that problem fixed in them.
