View Full Version : Do you like Paintball Grenades?

I've seen paintball grenades in action and I was thinking to myself, is ot worth it? I personally think they suck. They sometimes don't work. They claim that the explosion radius is like 5 metres. it's more like 5 feet in one direction. They are also very expensive. Anyways if I would be able to hit somebody with a grenade then I think I would be able to easily hit them with paintballs. I think that some people are fascinated by them becasue of their comparison to real war.

I've never used one. But I have a friend who has. He got a tippmann. He said that it didn't even work. I would say you are better making paintballoons than paint grenades.

Smoke bombs thats the ticket

I've used them indoors to toss over a wall into a box. On the concrete floor it worked like it was supposed to and sprayed everyone nicely. Outdoors the only time I've seen them work effectivly was at the Michigan Monster Game. We were shooting them out of water ballon slingshots. We would send them about 75-100 yards. When they hit they would explode. I pity anyone that actually was struck by one. It is a pretty good offense!

That would be sweet for big games.. or about anything if they work. I saw them at some site for like $300-$400, though I'm not sure if they only mount on those Co2 eatin tippmanns. On iisports theres some deal for like $700 for a 98custom w/flatline + launcher, expensive but cool 4 big games. If any one gets more info on the launchers, plz post

I think they look really cool, but I bet it would be a beast to lug around. Intimidating though as all heck! Can you imagine being stuck behind a bunker and then pulling that big ol' thing and blasting like 5 guys at once.

03-24-2001, 10:27 AM
Do u guys know where to get or how to make paintball mines? I saw on ebay someguy was selling plans for how to make em for like 30 bucks.

For a sniper like me, there a blessing. Playin sniper, if u'r spoted u'r in deep **** , especially if u got a pump gun like me. I carry atleast 2 squadbusters with me onto the field, just in case i get cornered behind a bunker i've got somethin to use in my defense.

PaintKiller
03-25-2001, 09:25 AM
Hey they the paintgrens only work good on hard floor so its not gonna work in the woods reason #1.I tried it before in the woods #2 I heard that it dosent work in the woods.
It will work good if you are verry acuurate and can lob it over a bunker.

I agree with creek smoke bombs are the ticket but i have seen them used annnd i have used paint grenades before in wodds the suck horribily then just jet out like 5 feet from one point but they are ok inside. But u payed $100 or more for your gun whhy not use that, why spend $5.00 ech time to throw a pbgrenade that might not get them when u have more of a chance 2 hit them wit your ggun???

do you think that a grenade launcher would be a waist of money because it is too hard to lug around, and wouldnt do that much damage. on the other hand, the fact of knowing, hey I could make that guy green if I wanted to would be a nice addition to your arsenal(if that is how you spell it)

That is the sweetest thing I have ever seen when it comes to paintball. I just grew a big rubbery one. True, it does seem to be to hard to lug around. I would use this while my team would run ahead. I would just carpet bomb the enemy's area. I think it would be a great advantage for that kind of game scenario.

Personally, I wouldn't want to be caught with that thing when the time came to use the marker while running for cover. I stil thinks it's cool though. Too bad it costs too much for the launcher/ammo!

I think that if you went that much, you would get sick of paintballin. Yeah you think, No way, but I said that about a lot of stuff, but when you do it everyday, it is bound to become not as fun. But if you were a field owner, and had a really big field, and held scenario games often, it would be awsome to put in one of the bases, or more. I mean imagin splatting eight people with one shot! ssssshhhhheeeeewwwwwww....SPLAT!! Take out a whole team or half. I mean just thinking about a 75 ft splat zone, imagine the fun :)

That sounds cool, just one problem. No ride. I am only 15. So I might be able to take a road trip, just it would have to be in like 3 months. i can see it now. Rent a bus, everyone pitches in 20 bucks, load it up with 40 paintballers, cruisin down the road. Yeah that would be awesome. Light up the car next to us on the freeway. J/k
but seriously, That would be cool. Do some research, check some stuff out. where do you live, im in eastern washington. we can find somethin close to both of us, and meet at a certain time in a certain place. Ill hold up a big sign with Paintkiller and a frog on it:):):):)

That field looks fun. We jsut got a Sup'Air ball field though, I can't wait to try it out.

Story time

I was sittin in the shop waitin for the guy to help me fix my gun *mutters somethign about evil ball detents of doom* and a lil kid comes in. He is too young to play but seems interested and is watching his father play. In may he will be old enough and said that his dad said he would get a mini cocker for his birthday. Anyways the kid looks at a tippmann squadbuster and asks the price, the guy at the counter tells 'em its 4 bucks a peice. The kid leaves, and comes back with 8 dollars. Well Chris not thinking at all sold the 2 paint nades to the kid and the kid ran out the door. Jeff looked at me with a worried face saying "What is he gonna do with those?" then he switches to a lil kids voice and mimicly says "Hey ma I need 8 bucks..uhh...for food. I SWEAR!" we busted up laughing. and to this day we fear that somewere this is a car with an exploded paint grenade in there >_< lol

I had to take down my club house.
It was big I wish I took pics of it We had a tv in there a big one.
we had light a heater for the winter and lounge chairs.
It was BIG!
It was on the side of my house where the woods are but the owner sold it and are gonna put houses there.
It took me a long time to steal all that wood and boxes of courk and buckets of nails.
So with all the wood left over I am gonna make bunkers and try to find empty land and set them up.
So me and my friend went in the house they were building and they had cut 2x4's so we cauked them to the floor where they were.
hehe they probley tripped on them .

id make sure that it was a perfect time, with at least 3 or more people who were all right by each other. that probably wouldnt happen but it would be better than wasting it on 1 or 2 people

iipaintballer
05-07-2001, 07:08 PM
Paintgrenade are luxury items. They usually run about 5 bucks. that might take out only 2 maybe 4 people max. But for the same price you can have like 100 paintballs. You can theoretically take out a bunch more people out with that many shots. But they can get you out of a jam.

You should just pull the pin and throw. That cap will prevent the ball bearings from coming out too early.

This may sound like a stupid question, but how do I make the waterballon grenades? Do I cut up paintballs and put them in the ballon? or do I use something else or no paint at all like a regular ballon? please tell me

Its like one big war basically muck.

For the *** grenades if you take the netting of them and throw them the paint spreads alot better but you can't throw it as far.

This is a little secret for all of you guys who said grenades don't work in the woods. They do..the trick is to try to hit a tree with the grenade. When you spot your enemy try to hit a spot on the tree anout 10 feet above him, when it hits the tree it spins wildy and sort of rains paint down. I have also found they work good if you can get them inside a base. Once in a scenario game we had 5 guys surrounding the tower. I think about 8 enemies were in the tower. This is what we did. Me and 3 guys constantly shot the tower so the enemies remained crouched behind the barriers. As we were pinning them down, the 5th man ran up to the tower, hummed the grnade inside, and it hit the opposite wall of the tower. Guess what...all of the players were ELIMINATED. This was the coolect experience I have ever had in paintball even though we didn't win that game, because after we got the flag we were ambushed returning to our base, and before the flag could be recovered, time ran out... :(

KoRnMaN
06-25-2001, 08:20 AM
paintball nades really suck if you dont pull the netting off so the paint can spread better but they dont go as far if you do.

I spent seventy dollars and made my own launcher. It can shoot anything up to a watermelon since it has a removable barrel. Its just to bad that I can't use it on the field since it runs on propane. I make my own mines and grenades which work just as well as squadbusters.

i think if i got hit by one, i would be really really pissed. if i was covered in paint from head to toe, i think that i would seek immediate retaliation, like beating the guy over the head with the blunt end of his mortar!

paintball is a weird sport, player by weird people. [me included]. i just want to know why people don't stick to basics. i love to read posts from guys who are using pumps. they seem to either do very well, or lie big time. that blows my mind, as compared to someone using a super duper high tech shocker cocker [22,700 balls per second]. i dont know......

so simple you missed the point.

high tech guns, mortars, tanks, but when people get hit they cry, curse, wipe, etc.

people dont even use mortars that much why are you complaining about them. Get with the program all guns are becomming hightech (even rental guns are) I think your just pissed because you can't afford nice things. Why would anybody else use a tank? You can't even use them in rec play or tournaments only snareos same with mortars and there are very few times a year you can use those types of things. What you expect people to throw paintballs?

i didn't mean to upset you!

please forgive me!

you are right- i cannot afford any good stuff which is why i complain. i am also a horrible player. i don't even really know how to play the game. i will just have to watch for you to put your postings up and i can learn from you.

i won't come back to this forum and put anything else up.

I love paint nade's. when we have the money, my team and I go out into the woods and we each have 5 nades each, and a bunch of paintballs (not for shooting, we use them as knives, instead of stabbing we just break the paintball on them with our hands), then we have a nade war. it's so much fun cause unlike markers, you have to be fairly close to use the nades and right next to them to use the paintballs, so it's like navy seal kinda stuff. it is seriously the most fun way to play this sport, but it's very illegal where we play it so we don't do it very often.

A Paint knife would be cool, were it is a Hard-Paint shell and on the inside it is just regular paint... But the shell will be easily breakable and also very blunt, as to not stab anyone... duh...

The problem with a paint knife is that, if someone charged me with that, I would just simply blow them away with my gun... duh...
