Hi. I'm getting ready to buy a new gun. I was wondering which you think is better. I'm at a choice between the Kingman Spyder TL+ or the PMI Piranha STS. All the reviews I have read have basically shown these two to be equal and end up coming down to opinion. Any guidance you
could give me as to which way you think you would go would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time. Hopefully I'll hear back soon.

Flip a coin, Heads Spyder, Tails Piranah ... I don't think you'll be disappointed either way.

I have both of them but I like TL+ better.
I don't like the stock bolt on Piranha. It's akward when take it out.

Are you saying a spyder is easier to assemble than a piranha?
Quick disconnect pin and sear release make it so much easier to assemble and dissasemble. Other than that the two are identical.

I mean that I like the idea of one piece bolt on the stock TL+.
My stock Piranha has 3 separate pieces - Bolt, rear cocking rod and a pin that connect the rod to the striker and the bolt.
(not count the striker and spring and velocity adjuster)
I think unless you upgrade to aftermarket bolt for Piranha it not practical to take out the bolt on the field.
Again, you might never have to strip it on the field but you never know.. right?

Or.....you could have just done a poll to decide, but then I would have had to kill you.

The STS is better stock than the TL+. It has a better barrel, RAM AIR CHAMBER that acts as a low pressure chamber, a better disasembly pin, and PMI is soposed to have better customer service. The STS G2 is said to be more reliable than the TL+ but I dont know the facts on that. The TL+ costs $160. The STS G2 costs $144. The STS also uses standard stuff unlike the SPYDER which uses metric.

NickR has a point, the stock barrel does suck, its good for like one game, then you'll hate it, but once you upgrade to a decent barrel ( ie. J&J ceramic ), i do believe it will own any lil' fishy.
