Hi

I dont mind spendng around $600.
But I dont mind going up a little bit. But I would prefer to spend around $500.

So what is the best gun in that price range.

Im looking at amazing range
and accuracy mostly.

If there's any flaws I need to know about any of the guns you recommend, then please say them.

Thanx alot

J0hnnyP0p

p.s

please help, please :(

I agree with the Bushy but not the Impulse. They are too inefficient for my taste.

I liked em, pretty quiet and felt nicely balanced, I only shot about 10 shots out of it, so I didnt really see the efficiency, but it does work really well on CO2, and that's a bonus.

Actually..... my sons put a BTO Y2 Cradle on a Shutter for a customer. They used a Lapco Spyder bottom line adapter for the grip frame and the sizer that comes with a VL-Bow to fit the reg to the cradle. You could do the same for a KAPP DZ II.

Yeah but the EM1 from what I understand doesnt use the Spyder offset pattern, the screws go through it horizontally, and no drop forward is made for that type of setup yet

never heard of that el twitcho, but whyu would u want an em1 anyway? Just get a bushy, more upgrades, parts, standered bottom line. And if u want an electric spyder then just slap an ELCD on a compact and save about 300$

Matrix LE is $700. That is not around $600. It may be less somewhere else but, I have not seen it under $700.

I read something wrong, so i was uninformed. The screw pattern is a side by side pattern, so instead of being inline like most screws are on grips, they are perpendicular (ie. side by side). That's how they are, I read it wrong in a review, my bad. It would still be tough to put a drop forward on, but probably doable the way auctionjunkie mentioned. My bad

To those who have a bushy, does it run off co2??

Nemessis
03-02-2001, 04:02 PM
I dont own one but ill answer the question, plain and simple NO to do it you would need a female and male stabalizer and an antisiphon tube that would be the same $$$ as a good nitro tank

Paintball Monkey
03-02-2001, 08:18 PM
there are a lot of people that run them on CO2. I prefer HPA though...

elTwitcho
03-03-2001, 03:27 PM
I've seen em on remote CO2, though I think any gun that you're gonna spend around 500 bucks on is worth the investment to go nitro

Richy_C
03-06-2001, 06:41 AM
if you have CO2 than the impusle but if you get and ADG flatline and a bushy tha twould b better, or a cheap nitro + a good reg, custom impulses and http://www.paintball-discounters.com

elTwitcho
03-06-2001, 01:23 PM
yep

they're hard as hell to find ayway, most places I've seen have been out of stock and said they didnt know when they'd be gettin more in, if ever

Cory

i'd say go with a shocker. they have a great regulator, and come with a smart parts 16" AA barrel. it is super quiet also. it has flat trajectory and extremely low breakage. it runs great off co2 also...just get anti-siphon.

Richy_C
03-07-2001, 01:28 PM
if shockers came w/12 or 14inch barrels i'd get one but the 16 incher is to damn long

Hey guys. I might go 4 the matrix. Looks cool , but I dont know how it compares 2 the Shocker.

I mean it cost more but it does'nt hav the maxi flo reg and it apparantly eats more gas than the shocker ( I dont know if this is true ). But the thing which im more concerned about is, is how accurate it is and what the range on the thing is like.

What do u guyz think

Shocker vs Matrix

:)?

Well, I'm not sure about the Matrix, I haven't shot one, but from what I've heard it's pretty sweet as an electronic semi and it's not as finicky as the Shocker. As for the Shocker, well, it's closed bolt and its accuracy and range is unparalleled. It also has a pretty awesome trigger. It's pretty sweet but it's big and kinda blocky. Not for me. I'd have a hard time making a decision too, but then again I'd just save for a Timmy. Always wanted one of those :) They're about 750 - 800 though. And don't forget about air!

I wanted a shocker at first. Then I held one and my arms fell off. I'm a pretty small guy, only about 75 pounds. I can't run around with a shocker the whole day.

I like the matrix. I shot one of my teamates matrix, and I was pretty impressed. Though there is no kick in the actual firing, if you let off a string of 6 shots really fast, the sheer amount of gas it fires/wastes actually pushes the gun back and causes the barrel to rise, so you have to fight against it to hold it pointing downwards. It isnt horrible, but it definately is noticeable. The trigger is smooth as silk, and fairly short, not quite mouseclick, but I like it. Balance is pretty good, it's nice and small (even though my bonehead teamate put a 16 inch CP barrel on it), and it's a nice gun, though the efficiency is pretty bad. Still, it's probably my favorite gun, next to my intimidator (which just cant be beat :D )

IF you can get one the tribal is the way to go. Only get the 2.2. I just got one with a cp barrel and dye stickies for $400. It is very fast.

hey shockers are great. they are closed bolt so they are more accurate and have better distance than the impulse which is open. they are great guns that won't let you down.

LoL,don't take this wrong but my Impluse hangs right with the shocker,@ players on our team got them and i shoot just as far as they do.And pattren is just as tight. All 3 of us where using progressive barrels,And mine was a shocker barrel mill .049 to fit the inpluse. We all where using marbs,So open or closed bolt didn't matter.

The porblem with the Imp is that it hs not been around very long. It just does not have as many current upgrades as other guns. It's not quite as "battle-tested" as say...oh...a Shocker.

Creek

Yes the Impluse hasn't been around long and people I played with this weekend the closes they seen a impluse was a book.It took 2 months for me to finely break down and buy it.I did a lot of research into the gun.In Aug i getting another gun not sure whats it going too be as of yet.Still looking at them.

i hear you saying bm2k's but i have yet to see a difiant on the list. the difiant already has alot of the desirable upgrades and autococker threads to boot. And to top it off there is the bob long service wich is prety nice i have had to replace some faulty junk on my millenium frame and they didn't hastle me at all.

now about the tribals, they are hard to come by and i hear lots of bad things about them. The worst of it is that they dont lube the guns prior to shipping and the tech support is pretty crappy.

dont go near the em1 i had to deal with spyder stuff along time ago and that wasn't pretty.

I say bushmaster all the way. Shockers are the size of a car and get 20 shot per 20oz. The bushmaster has 100 times more potintial also.

What do u mean inefficient????

The impulse is just as good or if not better than the bushy and shocker

First its not a gas hog and second its more light weight so u can move around..

Get an impulse and get a gas gadget fore grip it works wonders

paintballer56
04-27-2001, 03:45 PM
Cory do u have your head up your *** or what

Impulses have just as good range..

It depends on the barrel you get.. Also A shocker is a gas hog unlike the impulse

Conclusion: Your wrong Cory
