Probably better off with a regular spyder. The Imagine is an excellent choice. Has everything you need, and nothing you don't.

ya. i agree. my friend has his heart set on the icon e-marker and i've been trying to talk him out of it. that's why i posted this thread. i have a VL Prodigy E- Grip

The icon e is ok, but I would get an imagine or a piranha eforce.

Have you suggested he buy a VL Prodigy like you've got? They're ruddy accurate, but only get 7bps max, but really, if he's just a beginner it doesn't really matter. I got mine yesterday and it's nice out of the box, and all the reviewers gave it like 10/10.

if he can get a tippman a-5 with a flat line he should go for the vert and 2k3 wgp cockers or a not so expensive imp becuase in my opinion if you got that much money might as well get a gun with less kick and better parts(just my oppinion)

if he wants the ICON e just tell him 2 buy an E-99 Spyder. icons r made of cheap material my friend has 1 and it broke about 5balls in 1day. my E-99 breaks about once evry time if not then it wont break at all. these r just ball breaks in the barrels. in 6months i only had 2balls broken inside the gun and had to take the bolt out. 1ball was broken in the gun different days. spyders shoot a lil more accurate and have the anti- double feed which the icon doesnt have. for $40 more dollars i'd definately buy the e-99

If your friend has enough money to buy the a-5 with flatline he should get a Dragun TES. Before someone said he should get a autococker, dont let him get it, if he's a noobie to paintball he will wreck it so fast. Autocockers are way to complex for noobs.
