Let's have a contest, We'll take 100 paintballs and put them in our revy's and with a friends help and a stop watch we can get a idea how many balls each of us can shoot in 5 seconds! Once you've shoot 5 seconds worth count the remaining balls !Subtract balls remaining from 100 to get balls shot. Kat forgot to mention this step. and divide that remaining number by 5 this should give you your b.p.s. Thanks Ender & Wolvy! Truth gentlemen! have a friend help you He can count down the start and the stop. Report back here by next Monday the 24th I've got a prize for the winner. I have a slow trigger finger and am guaranteed to come in last place. I do not lie very well so I can not say I am fast when I am not.

i am pretty sure if i were to do it, i would be in the top few my gun is super fast, and i am very fast on the trigger, i have yet to see many people that can shoot faster than me ;) i am interested in trying it but i dont think people will beleive me, hehe.

Shot 32 Balls, here's the math:

100-32 = 68/5 = 13.6 B.P.S. according to Killer Kat.

Of course 32/5 = 6.2

I never really shoot that fast in a game though, since mostly I've played is rec, but hey maybe I'll come in handy when I move to speedball.

Kat, you wrote the directins a little wrong, I think you skipped a step. Hope this helps!!

Here is what you do.

1. Load 100 balls
2. Fire for 5 seconds
3. Count the balls remaining.
4. Subtract balls remaining from 100 to get balls shot. Kat forgot to mention this step.
5. Divide balls shot (32 from EnderOSC's test) by 5 (time in seconds) for your balls per second. EnderOSC got 6.4 BPS by my math.

It would appear that the Vision looses a few shots because the ball is not there, but at lest in this test, those balls were far enough into the chamber to not be chopped.

Mullet (or fastest shooter) has not been in and Fat Man (no the other Fat Man) whated to do this with his Angel as he just got back for Angel certification-- so he will bring it back (maybe tomarrow)

I'd vote we don't don't count run where paint is broken... It would effectvly take user out of game. So I'm counting Mullet as 12.2 (he COULD turn down his rate of fire after all!)

Sorry Dude I did not have time last weekend and would not have time until maybe this weekend. I know I won't be able to beat any of the Paintball Outlet boys. They look like they can get up on that trigger. I think the winner should be one of them.

Naugh, Our scores are for exibition only-- they don't count.

We are profesionals--we don't do this at home <G> Most people can't walk around their job holding a pop can in one hand constaly "firing" the trigger(pushing a finger into the pop can like it was a trigger)-- and Yes, we do--sorta like a nervious habit.

BTW-- most customers, shooting against the shot counter (air not paint) normaly run around 7-9 shots per sec. I have only ever had one truly fast "non turny player' shoot against the clock at these kind of rates. he hit 13.5/per second on his fisrt try-- by the way- he was a Gartair player.

oooh, I'm a guitar player. I play speed and thrash metal, aka Metallica and Slayer. played piano for the last 12 years too, plus I'm from montana, so pulling a trigger is something you learn right after walking. Keep the contest running, I've yet to get my gun. ;)

alright I just did this, so I'm doing the math right here, bear with me

put 100 balls in the hopper, shot for 5 seconds, when I was done there were 35 balls left. So I shot 65 in 5 seconds, I could never shoot this fast during a game though.

So, 65 / 5 = 13bps am I right? That would be 780 rpm. Damn, this impulse frikken rules.j

I won't be able to re do it, the RA came to check what was goign on, apparently the constant smacking of paintballs against the bathtub, scared my neighbors. So I'm not aloud to shoot it at all inside the dorm. poo-ee
