Alright, I was wondering if I should either (1) Continue upgrading my A-5, or (2) should I just get an Autococker (vert '03). I love my A-5 and all, but I think I need to get a little something that isn't a blowback. If you have any thoughts you would like to share, you're more than welcome:D . My A-5's in my sig.
p.s. Don't flame me, please:rolleyes: .

you have a nice a-5 already. i would save for the 03'cocker and keep the a-5 as your back up.

Do you have a mainbody suggestion? I like Lotus, but way too expensive.

First I would replace that small tank you have. Get a 68/4500. Then get an E-Grip. And a huge Drop. Then your A-5 will be about done.

And where did you find that PMI angled ASA? Got a link?

I would agree get a new nitro tank than get a cocker. And not another PMI tank, they arent very consistant.

For a tank I'd say go with Centerflag or Crossfire.
As for the huge drop part, I recommend against getting one before you try it out.

I think I'll go with a crossfire. But I'm still puzzeled about the drop.

wow, im in the same situation too. i need a drop, not a freakish long drop, BUT, notice i said the word "BUT", i dont know if the steel braided hose will work. what do i need to replace the steel braided hose. i know most probably the hose will be too long for the drop.
GreatKill
10-30-2003, 07:32 PM
It's ok for the hose to bend, but not at a, like, 90* angle.
asa4575
10-30-2003, 07:34 PM
i know it can bend but ive seen it bent to where it should be replaced with a shorter hose or a macroline. i think thats what its called.
GreatKill
10-30-2003, 07:35 PM
I think macro is for higher pressures and micro is for lower pressures.

merlin is made by an awesome company.

Whatever you do, do NOT get microline. mAcroline is fine, I use it and it works great but do NOT get mIcroline.

Sorry to bring this thread from the dead:boring: , but should I get a secondary reg.? I was thinking a stab., but anything else would alright.

You won't need one unless you're changing the operating pressure of your gun.

Exactly. If your going LP you will need that or an adjustable tank. If you dont want to lower the pressure of your gun, than if you have or want to get nitro I would now get a secondary reg. Co2 is a differnt story.
GreatKill

Yeah, I want to run low pressure. Any suggestions for the reg. though.

if u still want a drop i suggest the universal drop at county, its 22 bucks, county also has a hose chart if u need it

.Check my signature and then check what you wrote. I got one already, but thanks anyways. I wish I knew though, because I bought mine for $40 :( .

So you want a nice regulator now, because later on down the road you plan on switching over to LP?
Look into the Vigulanti reg. It should work just fine with what you have now, and when you make the switch you LP you can buy a set of LP springs for it. Changing it's available operating pressures to a lower range.

Also look into the Messiah reg. It can accept 800psi inputs and is adjustable from 800-1 i beileve. Supposed to be very consistant.

They only become "high maintenince" when some dumb newb starts playing with 'em without knowing a thing about them, then can't get it to work again correctly.
