Do Shockers have better range and/or accuracy than other guns. Assume that all the guns have the same velocity, barrel, paint, and reg.

I want to see what most people think.

To me, shockers seem to have better accuracy at longer distance. Im not saying they shot farther, Im saying that they are more accurate at the end of the balls flight. Whether its from the closed bolt design, the shockers (heavier) stable shooting platform, or an act of god, Im not sure. All I know is every time I pull out my Impy at a tourney, I have to put it away for the rest of the day because I get more kills accrossed the field with my shocker. Im not dissing Impy in the least. I love them both equally. But my shocker does the job at a distance better than my Impy (or any other open bolt gun ) can. I compare it to a cockers accuracy, on the money. Again with the closed bolt theory. But who knows......................

I don't know what it is either, but my buddy c4pyro can long ball like nothing I have ever seen. Yeah he has a 16inch barrel.. but that means little. It would be just as accurate with a 14. Don't ask me what it is, I don't know the specifics.. I just know that it is.

Believe, my son. Just believe.

I too have seen the wonder that is "Shocker". It is truly a mystery, and a wonder why more people don't use them.. better for me I suppose.

Tonight I used my new 14" Boomstick w/ Kick'n paint at the field. After I got it running at 290fps...........wow!

It was like a laser beam. I've always loved my Shocker's accuracy, but this was amazing.

I think it comes from a combination of things:
Regulator
paint2barrel match
heavy marker
closed bolt
low psi (mine is never above 170psi/300fps)
foregrip?

I think the accuracy mostly comes from the reg+low psi.

Now you know why C4pyro loves the Shocker so much... he's got th AA and the Boomstick

Yeah. It got dark too fast and I didn't even shoot a hopper, but it worked great.

It has begun.......the revlolution begins here.....hehehehehehe

I really love my gun, I generally use the 14 inch boom I have with my gun and marbs which is not that bad of a paint to barrel match so when I let loose it just goes exactyl where I want it to go. ANd you know what to all those people who think I am wrong or don't believe me....who cares....not me....its the people against me that care about it. anyways...its like I've been saying for months. But I'm with Halliday...combo of things

I have not shot every gun made, but out of the guns I have had experience with, the shocker is the most accurate. I do not see a flatter trajectory, but I do see straighter shots. I did not decide a shocker was more accurate AFTER I bought one, I saw how well shockers shot, and that was the deciding factor. There are guns out there that are as accurate, but they are usually custom markers with lots of TLC. I feel that Shockers are the most accurate out-of-the-box markers available.;)

Well, tomorrow I get to play front-man with my Shocker. It's a 3-man Hyperball. Lots will be different. I usually play back but I'll be doing the moving. 200 ball/person limit.

We have to use field paint (Zap). My plan is:
Shocker 4x4
R2K
68/3000 Stub (with 200 rounds it should be plenty)
14" Boomstick

I hope that Zap fits well. My J&J 14" is my 2nd choice.

I'm am hoping my accuracy with my Shocker will offset me being a 6' 230lb target :D

I've had good luck with ZAP as of late in my 16"aa. It could stand to be a little bit more brittle, but it won't chop in a shocker (least it wouldn't in mine, I forgot to turn on my revy and pinched one)
