Hey. Thanks to everyone for you're help earlier. I just have a few questions about some of the problems I've heard about the Piranha. First is about Sears bolt? or something like that, I've heard it wasn't the best metal they coulda made it with and it has the tendency to rub down. But everyone has said that PMI replaces that for you for free everytime. Plus I've only heard about that on the original Piranha, so do you know if the new series has it fixed? Second is about the trigger fram being plastic. Is that a big deal at all? Does it still hold up fine? Thanks again for all the help before.

The plastic trigger works great and is very smooth and plenty durable. I havent had any trouble with my STS G2 and its sear

I'm an aggressive player, I've slid, jumped, fallen and dived for cover while holding my gun close to me, and I've never broken, dented or scratched the trigger frame. I wouldn't worry about that too much.

Also, the Sear, I've heard the same thing about it being made of a lower grade metal. I think the only time you need to worry about the Sear being worn is if it starts to cycle (the gun will sound and act like a full automatic). If this happens, and you have a full tank of air, it means the bolt is not catching on the Sear, and that the Sear may be worn down.

You can check by pulling the bolt and velocity assembly out and looking in the lower chamber, you should see a point of metal sticking up, if you see a rounded piece of metal sticking up, the Sear is worn and needs replacing. Of course, I wouldn't consider replacing it unless you're having the Cycling problem.
