Well I don't know what marker you have now, but I am also on a tourney team any my BKO is going to be my starter gun for the 04 season. They are light (extremely, it'll blow you away when you feel it, the weight itself says nothing) they are compact (it is mostly barrel, so if you want to shorten the length get a short barrel. I have an A5, and I compared them, the BKO is shorter even with the barrel that is 3 or 4 inches longer than that of the A5! I can't tell you how much I love mine, and I haven't even gassed her up yet. Before her all I had was a tippy, and when I got her out she was the first gun I ever walked. I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing I'm getting about 15+ cps out of her. The other great thing is, there is no shortage of upgrades for them. They might not have as many as a cocker, or things of that nature, but there are so many things you can get for them. Most people don't find then intimidating, but if you put the right upgrades on them they will strike fear into people. With a nice HPR, add the zenitram AKA kit and put a Mini Rock on it, a volumizer, nice barrel, fast feeding hopper, nice air system, and they'll be afraid. Not to mention all the things you can put in her that they can't see. They can go up to 18 bps, which is as fast as the spring will let it, but still, if you need more than 18 bps to be good, then you really need more practice. I really don't think intimidation is needed, but in local tourneys it can mean alot. If you go into it big, then there is really no need for it, since those players prolly won't be scared of much at all. I know the grip looks a little...un comfortable, and strange, but really, I love it. I don't even know if I want stickies. Hope this helps!

BKO is a great tourney gun, fast, reliable, consistent, but kind of a gas hog.
But you don't get spanked cause your gun is not fast enough. You get spanked cuase you suck. Speed is nice to have but its not going to win you a game.

gas hog? LMAO! the BKO is very efficient! out of a 68/3000 you get somewhere around 850 shots, and that is completely stock! The rule is 10 shots per cubic inch at 3000 psi. This is just a rough thing though since every marker is different, but the BKO is very efficient, and will be even more with a few upgrades. Also speed will not wil you the match, but being slow will loose it for ya. Sounds contredicting huh? Let me explain. Speed will help you be letting your men move with greater reassurance, but they still have to have the skill to get the eliminations, and just because you have speed, if you can't snap shoot well and the such your still going to get out. Being slow however means that your team will basically be pinned down the entire match unless you sweet spot a guy or two off the break. Being slow might mean you only get 1 or 2 shots off on a snap shoot, being fast means 3 or 4, and that one extra ball might be the one that hits. Hope that helped.

LMAO the bko is a gas hog. Your right that speed won't win you a match but your wrong that it will lose you one. Sounds contradicting huh? Let me explain. No marker shoots 5 bps. Maybe a stock tippy, put still the finger has to be very slow. If your gun desont' shoot as fast as you like or you think your losing because your gun is slow, don't play back, and shooting 5 bps is still an effient amount, i never shoot more than 3 bps and those are always at bursts, and my backplayer shots about 7 bps.

okay you guys are right but in some other forums it is said dat back players need to shoot strings of paint off the break. i cant do that with an almost stock spyder

lol sorry dropkick i'm just playing with you. Your right you should be shooting as much as possible off the break so your players can successfully get to their bunkers. The BKO would be a great upgrade from a stock spyder. You can only run so far with the idea that you lost because of a slow gun. But anyway best of luck with any upcoming tournies

LOL....
Keep shooting 20 bps... that'll just makes it more fun when I shoot you in the back :) <yep, even on hyperball you can work that if your smart :p>
.........Hmm, lets say you shoot like 10 bps. Now, your hopper will hold 200 balls, and that means that you will be out of paint in 20 seconds.... and have to refill... Yummy :)
Now, the typical tourney match lasts what, 5 minutes? So, if you are carrying 5 pods, all with 200 balls, that is 1/2 a case, and 200 balls in your hopper, that is 1200 balls, divided by 10 balls a second = 120 secs or 2 minutes.
......That means I have 3 full minutes to walk up to your face and plant one right in your head :p HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Ok Ok, my point is that if your not just firing straight the whole time, just shooting 5-10 balls a second is PLENTY to make your opponent back off the bunker some and take cover. The time it takes to go in and out is plent of time for movement..... and sticking your head into even 5 balls a second is not much safer (if you can shoot at all) than sticking your head into 10 balls a second... at least not enough to make a difference for any of us!!!
