View Full Version : Question on O-rings...

Well I just bought my first marker today, which turned out not to be a Victor (thanks to my dad, smart shopper) but a Spyder TL.

Anyway I wanted to know if all the o-rings are basically the same in the marker. I looked at the manual and it only mentions the type of o-ring used on the valve body and bolt(#015 80D) but it fails to mention the types used for the barrel and the striker.

What type of orings should I get for the striker and barrel?

kingmanusa.com has a tl+ diagram that will answer that. if you get a spyder first aid kit, you'll want to use the red ones.

for the barrel don't worry about another o-ring.

But to answer your question, yes pretty much all the O-rings in a spyder are the same. The ones on the bolt, the valve, the striker, and the ones you use on your c02/N2 tank will all be the same size. :)

Yeah I found a graph on OtterSCCustoms that has the sizes for the orings used in the gun.

They are all the same unless you have the older striker (which is wider).

The only major difference is the material they are made out of. For instance, the striker o-rings should be made out of polyurethane while the valve and vertical adapter ones should be made of nitrile or buna-n (whatever that is).

Anyway I thank you for you alls help.

If you are worried about the O-rings, what I have done over the years is to take all my markers apart mark all the o-rings and take them to a seal supply outlet. These people will match up all the o-rings in your marker with ones they have in stock usually cheaper than you think. I have done this and I have spare o-rings for all my markers. And with the invoice you get it is simple to replenish your supply by part number. The only problem I have now is the supplier has a $10.00 order limit so I have to order more than I need.
