what year is my impulse

i bought me an impulse from my friend about a month ago and i can not figure out what year it is. the serial number is IMP005216 and it is not vision ready. it has the amber board. if u know what year it is could u please tell me.

Impulses don't really have years but if I were to guess then early 2001 or 2000. Mine has a serial in the 8,000s and it was made in 2001.

is the serial number the one u see when u take off the grip frame?
