er need help with 98 custom flatline adapter.

having trouble taking the adapter for the flatline barrel on my 98 custom. not sure which way to twist it or am i suppose to pull it out?

OK I will assume you mean that you just got it and the adapter is attached to the barrel.

Firstly, make it easy for yourself, DO NOT USE THE SHROUD, it may look better, but it multiplies the Flatlines PITA factor exponentially.

You will have to loosen bolt on the bottom of the adapter with an allen wrench and then just pull firmly apart.
Then screw the adapter into the barrel threads and gently(as gently as possible) slide the barrel portion back into the adapter collar, tap a few times(heel of hand or rubber mallet) to make sure it's in all the way.
Grab your gear and gas up the marker. Take a few practice shots(make sure to hold the gun vertically), adjust alignment, take a few more adjust, etc. until properly aligned, re-tighten the bolt on the bottom of the adapter.

To make this extra easy, get some paint or an engraving pen and make marks on both the barrel and collar portion that you can line them up and not have to fool with tweaking the barrel every time you take it off.

Or just don't use the shroud so you can screw the Flatline on and off without haveing to remove the adapter at all.

heh i know how to install it its just i have no clue how to get the adapter out of the gun. my brother got it installed from the guy he bought it from. not sure weather to twist or pull. tried both but its in tight.

You unscrew the adapter, just like anyother barrel. If that doesn't work just unscrew the halves of the gun.

Did your friend do something dumb, like loctiting the adapter into the barrel threads?
