Yeah, I'm relatively new to paintball, just recently bought a 98C and I was wondering if there was a way to remove the gas line completely and connect the CO2 directly to the valve inside the marker i.e. having the CO2 tank in a vertical position in front of the trigger guard, where the gas line is.

Well, yes. But you'll need to buy a vertical adapter that connects to the valve, and comes out the front grip. And you just connect it there.

You can get them @ www.countypaintball.com

I don't think it's a very good idea to put it directly in like that though...

See the thing is...I plan on putting the flatline and the f/x sniper stock (the solid one, not the collapsible) and I'm, worried that the stock and CO2 will cause a serious imbalance in the marker. Therefore by placing the tank in a vertical position in the middle, I hope to distribute the weight evenly.

P.S. please don't suggest a remote line cuz I can honestly tell you that I won't even consider listening...I hate remote lines

Although I'd never do it myself. Its not a bad idea. It will work like anti siphon, so thats always good. I just wouldnt like it as a front grip, and I dont think it would balance well at all without a stock.

you could buy a spyder v/a

and stick it in right under the valve but any tank bigger than a 9 will probably hit your trigger and wont fit
...

get intruder if you want

I have a stock and trust me, it's not unbalanced.
