Co2 won't break your marker. It will wear down the parts (O-rings and stuff) more quickly, but the whole thing won't break. But it does no good to your marker whne it freezes though.

any other thoughts on it?

It will run just fine on CO2 as long as you account for the factors using CO2. You need a Very good inline reg. CO2 tends to be very dirty and will gum up your marker internals, this has its bad effects if not cleaned out after awhile. HPA runs alot cleaner and is not temperture sensitive so it doesnt have pressure spikes with temperture change. CO2 is a good air source for cockers, just clean up after it and have a decent reg. I would upgrade the stock reg if using CO2.

Co2 will work. but man... u dont wanna wear out ur cocker. all these guys are right. id save for a nitro tank and use that.

im not into it enough and dont have the cash to spend alot on a nitro tank, i only have a cocker cause igot a great deal on it, i hope c02 doesnt mess it up to much.

As I said it will work fine. Autococker were designed for CO2. HPA is just nice to have. In the "old" days we screwed CO2 tanks right into the vert ASA. hehe :blah:

well I found that when I shoot using co2 and do alot of rapid fire.....my 3 way o-rings swell alittle and causes the trigger to get sluggish....

I don't know if this has happend to anyone else.....but it just happened to me while testing for leaks..(my HPA was empty so I was using a CO2 tank with a remote...)

Im in the market too for an autococker but 1) i cant afford the HPA tank right now 2) local fields around here dont fill Hpa :(

So what "upgraded" autocockers can i still use CO2 on?? I was looking at the black magic and a few others. Also i take it I should change the reg to something else? any info will help..thx!

Jester, I wouldn't even CONSIDER running something like a B/M, Freeflow, or any of the "high end" cockers on co2.
Yeah, you could probably get away with it, but do you really want to take a chance on liquid freezing or damaging the internals of your new $700 (at least) baby ?
If you only get co2 fills at your local field & you want a high end marker the get a Shocker.

I'd get a Vertical Feed Cocker with a Palmers Stabalizer, Anti-siphon tube and Angry 3-way. Mebbe an angled drop-foward as well.

shadow: that sounds like a good setup.

The only way that I would put co2 on a cocker is if I had an anti siphon bottle connected to a six stage expansion chamber and had it angled on a bottom line, or even (shall I dare say) a remote. That way I know that no liquid will get into the marker. Just be carefull it will slowly erode your internals if you do not keep it oiled and clean.

i use co2 on mine i have an angled bottomline, 20zo tank with anti-siphon tube and a mini expansion chamber connected to the 20oz tank. It works PERFECTLY.......
