Ok, I'll probably get Evil then, but just curious why is PMI Evil better?

Evil has a very thick fill= hard to wipe.
It has a nice, round shell which flys straighter, no more questions, get Evil.

They both fly great, they both are of extensive quality, they both have an awesome fill, they both come in good color, but Evil will break FAR more often than Marbs will. Which is my only reason for getting them.

Just to clarify...
Even though everybody is picking Evil, Marbs are NOT bad paint. They're just not as good as Evil.
evil, there is no better paint. Marbs chop for me, and they should match my bigshots.

Is $65 a case (2000 paintballs) a good deal? I'm glad I asked, because I was going to get Marbs for the same price. And they only sell cases of Evil. Will the paint last over the winter if I keep them in the bags they come in? I am probably going to stop playing in a couple of weeks.

evil, i dono wat kinda hopper u have, but if its forcefeed like the halo or egg, ur gonna want evil. marbs are definetely good paint, but sometimes (in a great while) they will break wen gettin feeded. evil never breaks wen loadin. u can drop it n pick it back up and put it in ur hopper tho i still suggest u dont. i usually use zap proball wen playin rec cuz it doesnt break and is a nice price, but in tourneys i definetely choose evil. never broken one of evil or zap. just depends wat kinda money u wanna spend. people think zap is bad cuz its cheap but it is actually really nice paint if u dont get the amp. the amp shell is a p.o.s.! u can drop it and it wont bounce at all, instead it just breaks, even if its dropped from only a few feet up. but proball and slap works great. specially proball. but i use those for money reasons. if evil was cheaper i would use that. but in a decision against evil or marbs, they are both GREAT paint in my opinion, but like every1 else has said, evil is definetely the better paint. in my impy i have never chopped either, nor any zap paint, but then again i have vision. overall if ur willin to spend money the money go with evil, but if u want a lil less quality yet still great paint for a very affordable price. go with zap. if u have ne other questions pm me. cya

Cocker Boy, stop the Q-tip when you feel resistance.
Marbs have a much harder shell than Evil. Any cock-and-bull story you hear of Marbs chopping, barrel-breaking, or breaking in a hopper more than Evil is just that: a cock-and-bull story.
Evil and Ultra-Evil have possibly the 2 softest, thinnest shells of any paint. They aren't intended for Tippmanns and Spyders to lamabast them with a bolt and then 750psi of air. They're intended for low-pressure tournament-quality paint slingers. They're also intended to be used with Revvies, Halos, and Eggies. They're just strong enough to make it out of the gun and plenty weak enough to break every time.
Marballizers, on the other hand, have comparatively tough shells. Part of the benefit in this is consistancy; Marbalizers are very consistantly round and not easily dimpled. They're not tournament-quality, though. They don't break enough.

When I said break, I meant break on target, squid

omg, evil evil evil!!!! I love evil paint. I tried it for the first time last weekend at my tourny and I'm officialy in love with it and will always buy evil from now on. It's high quality $%&@! Perfectly round, thick fill, no dimps, just perfect perfect paint. :D

Evil works better with a low pressure operating gun because of the very thin shell whilst marbs would be a slightly better choice for a high pressure gun because of a slightly thicker shell then the evil.
overall i say evil though

Ok, I bought 2000 rounds of Evil last night! Orange...
I'm going paintballing today. It costed 65 bucks for a case of 2000 paintballs. A little pricey I think!

So then don't buy Evils...
Most people don't shoot high end paint like that unless it's for a tourney. For practice and rec most people will shoot something cheaper, $30-$45 a case.

This might sound stupid to you, but I am not familiar with any of these terms. What is Rec. ball and stuff?
teufelhunden
11-09-2003, 08:18 AM
Rec ball is when you just go out and play with your friends, either at a field you built or at a paintball field. This is usually "for fun."
A tourney is a paintball tournament, where you go and play competitively against other teams, competing for a prize. Usually for "winning (and fun too ;))"
Practice is when a tourney team gets together to practice their gunfighting, strategies, etc.

the only paint i used to shoot was marbs...too many countless times in which i hit the target straight on and the freakin marbs BOUNCED is when i stopped using marbs...the fill is nice...but i can only stand so many bouncers off of trees that i'll go mad if i use them any longer...EVILS all the way, but damn both are overpriced...

Cuervo, marbs have been used in tourneys for a while though but probably before Evil paint came out.

hmm, now as far as a "few" people have informed me, the only difference between marbs and evils, is the ink...
and often the premiums have softer shells then both.
does anyone really think that pmi makes a dozen different shells? could it just be 2-3 types of shells and fills, and the rest is just names and ink??
