I had the same problem. Take it apart and check the connecting pin. It might be broken. That's what happens to a lot of Raptors.

it might be your trigger sear is not catching on the bolt when it cycles.

So your saying, when its cocked and you pull the trigger it fires but the striker (cocking thingy) doesn't move back and cock again? Try taking all the internals out and cleaning it. Oil it up and put it back together. Did you chop a ball or two in the chamber before this started to happen? Still I think you need to take it apart and clean it.
And for the airsmith....why waste time when you can do it yourself easily enough:rolleyes:

My friend gave me a raptor and i think it had a similar problem. the first time i used i put the tank in and it all just fired out quickly (within in afew seconds). after that me and my dad took it apart and looked at everything. if you take the black thing underneath where our your barrel goes you will see a little silver thing with a ring around it. mine was all out of place. me and my dad put it back together propoerly and brought it to my local store. when they screwed in the tank and nothing happened he cocked it and ulled the trigger it was just like you had no air. that little seat was bad and he said that the raptors had that happen to them all the time. he said that the parts would cost $25 and $25 for him to put them in. you could prbably just do that on your own. tell me if that is what it turns out to be, because i am 99% sure that's what it is. like i said mine did that too. and he said it happens to them all the time.

well i have taken it apart and check everything and oiled it up good and i still cant figure out what it was................................also when i put the tank back on tho ALL the air just went RIGHT threw the barrel just screwing the tank on. And this never happened before so i must have screwed something up with that.. but ya BEFORE everything would work fine but when i cocked it and fired it the bolt would go forward but just stay forward and not recock back into the cocking position. so bLaH.

did you do what i told you to do. check that seal underneath the barrel and on the end of the spring. even if it looks all right take it to your local store

So the marker just fired off CO2 like a jackhammer? Same thing for me. You could be low on CO2. Well, at least now you are. ;) Anyway, again, the conecting pins tend to break more than occasionally so you might want to check that.

So now your saying all the CO2 rushes out of the barrel when you screw in the tank? I just had that problem. Not sure if its your problem as well but, for me the valve stem wasn't going in all the way into the valve assembly. I had to sand down the valve stem until it would fit through. A way to check is to take out the valve stem/assembly/cupseal and see if it goes all the way for the cup seal to make a seal.
For me there was maybe a centimeter between the cupseal and the valve assembly.
