I doubt it would be semi-only. Thats an option that you'd have to specify to get.

the timmys will never ship with the semi only board. you'll have to buy the upgrade from bob.

The timmy's might ship next year with the semi only boards. It won't be until/if the NPPL states in the rules that it must be semi only. I am not even sure that the semi only boards are out to public yet. They might be.

The majority of people won't. I use full auot when I am tuning my marker or trying diffeent stuff with it. It worked if I don't get any shoot down or if it doesn't start "farting". I can't play with it on burst or turbo anywhere around here though. No tourneys let me. In all honesty, I really don't want to. With the trigger mod I don't need to.

Hey Happy Trigger, if you could, what do you like better about both guns (your timmy and angel)? I pretty sure that you like the angel better but why and what is better about the intimidator? thanx for the info.

I like the Timmy better. It has anti chop eyes, almost as accurate as a cocker, and shoots as fast as an angel. To me it's hands down. I gave up an angel for the timmy. I do like the angel. In my opinion it's the third best marker on the market. Timmy is first, cocker is second.
Given the cost, the Intimidator offers a far greater value than the Angel.

Just to reinforce what some others have said, the Intimidators we sell still have the boards with all the firing options.
If we ever start selling Intimidators with the semi only board, we'll indicate that in the description. Thanks.

OK, you can get the Timmis with an SOB installed. The SOB is so fast that you need not other modes of fire. I was in a Tourney Sunday, and the Head Ref. pulled my gun and shoot is because he thought that it was on another Mode. After I let him ripe off a few shoots after the game he was asking all kinds of questions about how we did it. The SOB is not something to look down at it is a step above the normal Modes and Full Auto on the stock boards is slow comaired to the SOB's Semi Only.

Well, when I'm talking about using my Full Auto mode, I'm not using it because its fast, I'm using it because I don't have to keep pulling the trigger while I run, I just hold the trigger down and run.
Anyone who has an intimidator knows that full auto on it isn't very fast at all. Flip it into turbo, then you get to see some speed.
See, for me its not the speed, its the laziness of the moment and/or the position my gun is in when I want to fire.

i say if the SOB is really fast, the all mode board has that so its that fast plus all the other modes just to have in case you know? thats why i think the all mode board is better but i will probably use semi a lot but playin rec ill put it on auto for sure.

If you play tournamen at all next year, you won't be able to use a 1.4.1, 1.4.2, 1.4.3, 1.4.4, 1.4.5, or 1.4.6. You will have to use a semi only board. I love the semi only board. It shoot's really fast. I like the 1.4.6 board even better. My friend just bought Bob Long's old Intimidator (one of them) and it came with the 1.4.6 board. It was another one off board. It shoots as fast as the semi only which he has as well in his other timmy, but it has all the firing modes like turbo and burst.

yo so you mean if i get the timmy with all fire modes i cant use it in tourney's? I coudn't get like a tourney lock??? that would be *** if not. info please!!!

No that's not true. You wont be able to play in the NPPL without a semi only board. All other tournaments are still requiring tourney lock (which the Intimidator has) to play, and most still dont even check. So no you dont need the semi only board for tournaments

thanx TWITCH. How do you know all this stuff it seems like you know everything....how you find out?

I do stand corrected. If it follws suit (like it generally does), what the NPPL does is what most other tournaments follow as well. You are correct on this, twitch. Thanks for correcting me.

And Happy is right, other tournaments may follow suit so you might have to get one in the future. But then again, I only imagine this happening at the very higher level tourneys and I doubt you're going to have any problems at your local tournaments. To put it into perspective, at skyball they didnt even check to see that my gun was in tourney lock. I coulda kicked it into full auto if I wanted :P Just goes to show that unless you're playing the NPPL this probably isn't going to affect most of us

125, so that depends on your definition of "costing that much". If you have the money though, definately a worthwile upgrade. Unlimited balls per second is always a good thing in my book :)

no doubt

Most of the Local Tourneys aren't worried about SOBs. So for a while you should be fine. When or if if the Local Tourneys they make people have SOBs there will be a few less tourney series around. You should have no problems with them for a while.

There actually is a cap on the SOB. It's not like it will ever be attainable. The marker isn't capable of shooting that fast. The cap on it is 75bps. That is not a typo. 75 bps cap. Happy Shooting.
elTwitcho
10-02-2001, 09:06 AM
Well, I knew it as capped at 75 bps, but for all intents and purposes it may as well be unlimited since the marker cannot physically cycle that fast (my guess would be that the marker will only go as high as maybe 30) and no shooter will come close to shooting that fast in semi anyway
Morphious

Mathmaticaly the SOB can achive 35 BPS. The first version was capable of 75 BPS, but the PRODUCTION is only capable of 35 BPS. Like 35 BPS is so slow.

for real!

Ya I can get over 16 BPS out of it, and hold it for a few seconds.

I have shot one with a semi only board. I can make it fart it's shooting so fast. It's kind of cool to listen to.
