well, most of the reviewers at www.icd-owners.com said that they prefer the stock Bushy barrel over their aftermarket ones...

the stock barrel is suprisingly good for a stock barrel yet you will still be better off getting a 3rd party barrel preferable a barrel kit, and yes you can put dye stickies on the marker

The stock barrel isnt bad, but we all upgrade the barrel eventually. Also don't get a barrel kit. Barrel kits are only worth it for closed bolt. As they only serve to prevent rollouts. Get a CP one or two piece. That would be the best buy.

And yes you can put dye sticky on it.

I don't know about the B2k's, but my BKO stock is MUCH better than I had ever imagined. My J&J Ceramic 2 piece was busting up paint one day bad, and I put on my stock and it fired like a dream (it was paint that was chopping easy for a lot of people, but I couldnt beleive the difference and how accurate the stock was... although with better paint that didn't blow up so easy, my J&J would probably outperform the stock in accuracy and sound level).

Ball breakage largely depends on bore size. Of the paintballs and your barrel.

I sorta figured that was my primary issue that day.

You just said 2 different things....First you say all barrel kits are for is for rollouts....Wrong! Barrel kits are for matching bore size to paint size to get the best efficiency and consistancy shot to shot

The bottom line is the better match your paint and barrel are the more accurate, and consistant your gun will be and I dont even use a barrel kit..I use just one barrel cause I shoot the same paint all the time

Well, no hit against my local fields for selling the stuff...

...but I just played the last 3 cases this year with "PMI Premium". I think 1 in 6 balls broke, no matter WHAT barrel I was using (I think my stock BKO barrel must be a little larger to help some, because it handled it better).

Anyway, that stuff was TOTAL junk. PMI made me mad this fall grrrrrrr :pissed: From now on, I'm saying "gimme the cheap stuff", because at least it doesnt sit on the shelf until it becomes chud in my barrel LOL

They are for rollouts thats what there best for. Since on closed bolts the detents only prevent double feeds. Not rollouts. And if you buy a barrel kit for effciancy. Your stupid frankly. And have bought into the hype. The differance will be so minimal to the extent that you've simply wasted your money on it. Will it help accuracy and effciancy? Probably its just so minimal as that I'd say its only worth it for closed bolt.

Paint to barrel match affects consistancy and efficiency a lot.....Get a .685 ball matched up with a .689 barrel and shoot over the chrono ......Try and tell me that your gun is consistant...Ill laugh at you....Its been proven over the chrono many times...

As for efficiency it is majorly affected also...same situation really small ball with a larger bore barrel wil make your FPS lower because outgoing air is escaping around the bal instead of propelling itwhich in turn makes you have to turn your HPR and LPR up to compensate for the waste of air which leads to the gun not being efficient....

I dont know about preferring it over aftermarket barrels, but for a stock barrel it shoots great.
