sts g3 vertical feed or power feed

which one is a better buy, vertical feed or power feed?
i'm a newbie so I was not sure what system is better.
I am also deciding between this or a spyder tl plus (leaning more on pmi )....how does this compare?

I, personally, would take the powerfeed. With as many balls stacked as there are, you won't be able to outshoot a 12 volt Revolution, or probably even a 9 volt. As for the STS or TL+, it's your choice. A bit more on the "preference" side than anything else. Both work pretty well, but the stock barrel is something you'll want to replace on both, anyhow.

I got a vertical feed and I am happy with it, but it depends on how you like to aim. Powerfeed is easier to aim with but Vertical Feed can get more balls a second.

2. In your signiture, I see it says that you own a powerfeed STS, not vertical. :)

weeelllll.....my VF breakt off:( John @ PMI got it replaced though and its all good. i like my VF, aiming isn't a problem rilly. get titanium though and then a nickel CP, IT LOOKS TIGHT! i'll have pics of mine up soon enuff.

it depends on how you play if you like go physco and start shooting all your paint you should get a vertical feed if you like to sniper people and stuff get a powerfeed

Its preference, v-feed balances better and I can aim with it better than p-feed (i'm left handed) It doesn't have much to do at all with feed rate and such, especially on a non-electro. However, a v-feed will most likely have slightly better resale than powerfeed as it is more popular as of late.

TL PLUS.. i had an STS i did not like it at all, so many things went wrong with it.. TL plus is much easier to take care of you dont need to do much with them, 2 of my friends have them. Other than that the guns are pretyy much the same.

Though I, too, would pick a TL+ over an STS, it's more of a feel preference rather than reliability or anything. Reliability of a Piranha is the same as with a Spyder. You oil the seals and moving parts, you replace a seal if it's screwed up, and you wrap hose fitting threads in teflon tape if it's leaking out there. :)
