The guy that runs the local store here is pretty straight ... sounds like maybe the guy at your store is just a little greedy.

I have a few guys near me that are like that they said jnj 2 pieces aren't good that macro line is bad and that spyder are not good guns they bash anything they don't carry and when asked why they don't like them they say just little things.... and can't really give you an answer and I have found the best way to reply to this is if you ask them "Do you guys have any new adamantium boomsticks in?"
and the store owner replies "That barrel is a piece of junk we only carry reputable products in our store..." "well I have heard great things about this barrel from several owners and in apg and everyone seems to love it why do you say tis is no good?" store owner replies , "Well we tried it and couldn't find a good paint match for it it was loud and a barrel plug to fit it is darn near impossible." customer "Oh ok thanks I guess I'll have to go somewhere to find this barrel then have a good day!" and leave problem solved if you know it's not junk and obviously other people believe the same then it is your every right to disagree.Don't get pissed because they have opinions that differ fom yours you wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone that a talon was the biggest piece of junk you ever saw and apparently he feels the same and wants to share his opinions.

Mainman, maybe he just doesnt like that ONE barrel. Has he said any crap about other decent products or tried to entice you to buy crap products...if he does....THEN he is scum. When i was looking for my first gun i was set on buying a BE Samurai (try not to laugh) and this guy at my local shop said it was the biggest piece of **** ever. I thought he was just saying that to get me to buy a more expensive gun, but he turned out to be right. It IS crap.

Shopping online is too much a hassle to go through waiting for your package if it get's delayed (it took 2 and a half months to get my Spyder Compact) and if they deliver a defective gun, or not 100% what you ordered, you're SOL. They have your money and they arent obligated to replace your order. Some places have tech support people who are impossible to get in contact with, because there is no number to call and they dont answer email. They arent available to answer your questions, etc etc. A pro-shop owner can answer any problems you have with the gun, he'll give you what you ask for (if not, dont buy it), he can help you set your gun up, there is no waiting involved, and service at proshops is usually excelent. It's a bit more money, but it how much is it worth to get jerked around and receive something different from what you ordered? Sometimes it could be small things like color is different, other times it can be a big issue (Single trigger instead of double trigger, standard feed instead of powerfeed etc). Buy from a shop that's good to you, keep em in buisiness, because they deserve it

The dude at one of my local proshops tried to sell my best friend a Tippmann 98 with the RT trigger option because "you have to have it." I was astounded that he would even attempt a sales pitch like this. Luckily I was able to talk sense into my newbie friend.

man.......my local shop is totally awesome. the owner of it also owns like a whole mountain and he turned it into a huge paintballin fields. its pretty famous around here....and one of the biggest. hes the most awesome paintballer i know. he'll answer any of your questions...NEVER get angry...and even give you his opinions about it. they are all true....and a lot of it is actually reasonable...and like.....he even does some free labor for you. usually him and his employees only work on guns dat u buy from there..but one time i asked how much it would cost for him to get new valve screws, and install them and loctite them in...and he's like"i can do it right now, no problem, free of charge" and he did it for me. also...one time he was just like "yea u wanna know what my favorite gun is?" and i said sure..and he was tellin me out of every gun there is...he likes da shocker. he even walked me over to the shockers...let me hold some....and he talked to me about them. this guy is totally awesome. all my friends from skoo dat paitnball are friends with this 50 year old named Jim. hes da best.

It sounds like you got a great place PBSouLjAh. Unfortunatly most of the places I shop in Oregon are totally high on prices. Snotty sales staff with very little knowledge means I only buy off the net. Pro-Shop owners pay attention. This is discretionary income! I don't need you but you really need me!
