how much money do you have to spend?
right now I am trying to decide between a cobra angel and a bonebrake mod angel....
both are about $1700... it is up to you man...
about all angels are the same... just the fine tuning, and the maintinence requirements are different

Is there any barrel besides the Freak I should get for an Angel. I've seen a Nice Angel last saturday with a 10inch matching BoomStick. It was nice. It was between a chrome and sky blue and the barrel was the same way. It was nice. So what do you guys think about that???

no the stock barrel is better than 99% of afterarket barrels
the boomstick doesnt even compare with it

stock barrel is okay in performance... its a one-step small-bore 14" aluminum barrel. Meaning either gap, all-stars, hellfire, or others small-bore paint can fit. performance wise, its good from time to time, but i'd rather put on my 12" boomy.... way better performance than the stock - guaranteed. other favorites, cobra one-step large-bore (.693) 10" barrel, its nice, and sweet, or my 10" inch freak....
if you're just going to buy a certain type of paint/brand, than get a boomy, if you're going to use anykind type of paint/brand, than get a freak.
check out my avatar - there's my angel....

How is the stock barrel going to be more accruate than most aftermarket barrels. Now that doesn't seem right at all.

to your question.. I dont know.
barrels.... you can also look at CP barrels.
CP is very good too..
I would say freak, boomy, or CP.
I would like the CP set, just because it is more original.
get a bonebrake mod for your angel.

Volumizers(low pressure chambers). Dye, Kapp, or AKALMP bolt. Low Rise. That should make it a good rig

All the stainless stell back will do with a freak is increase the weight. If you are going to get a freak, get the all aluminum version.
I personally won't get a freak. I don't like them. Thats my opinion though. When an angel breaks a ball it will harder to clean the freak than a regular barrel. The CP set is the alternative. JT is kind of doing it as well. I don't think they have a set out yet though.

A freak wont break balls. Stainless Steel back is alot more durable, helps balance the gun, and wont bend like the aluminum. It also doesnt scratch. I had an aluminum freak on my cocker and i really didnt like it. The SS is alot better

The freak should not break balls. The Angel will chop them. When they do break it will be harder to clean them out of a freak than it would in a normal barrel.
It makes sense about the balance issue. If it helps with that then it is a good idea.

the CP Pro Kit is more expensive but is good too

That is probably what I will end up getting. I really like the CP set. Mind you I have a Boomstick, Dye Aluminum, Bob Long Longshot (old one), stock timmy barrel, and a stock cocker barrel. I got rid of all of my Angel barrels when I got rid of my Angel. I don't "need" another barrel. It's more of a want.

If Boomsticks are so garbage then why is it that every one with Angel's probably has a Boomstick or had a boomstick at one Time. I use a Boomstick for the gun I have now and it shoots very well so I think BoomStick's are that bad.

FYI the CP Pro Kit now comes w/ 5 control bore (back pieces) instead of 3 with NO PRICE RAISE! I think this is very cool and i will pick a up a set soon. The Deluxe Freak is like 215$ or so.. the CP set is 235$ or so. I like the CP a lot better. I really like how CP shoots.. and i dont like inserts :) I dont trust them :P Nah i just like CP.. they shoot nice and are vry quiet and awesome looking. The chrome alluminum back looks sweet!! Here's a pic.. look how cool the back alluminum piece looks on this Sonic LCD (Yes i love this picture..its very beautiful gun w/ the stock 2 piece CP on it :D )

the boomstick is a good barrel but over rated for its price. And the stock barrel is very good , imo it preformes as well as if not better than the boomstick. Most people that use a boomstick on their angel use them because of their reputation alone.
WDP made a high quality product so it has high quality parts. Like if you buy a porsche you get some of the best quality, brakes, tranny, engine..etc so you get what you pay for its a $1200+ gun. So why dosent it make sense that an angel stock barrel is as good as or batter than most aftermarket barrels?
If your going to get an aftermarket barrel i recomend 10in, and get a barrel system such as the freak or the cp set.
Volumizers look nice but dont do anything for performance, the only upgrades that affect performance are bolts (i recomend a dez bolt or bonebrake bolt), and a stainless steel hammer because the original brass hammer can leave shavings. Some other upgrades may improve performance but not by any amount that is worth the effort.
no matter what you decide for an aftermarket barrel at least try the stock barrel first.

mkay half these people have never owned an angel before
buy a lowrise first, the hi rises are too tall and you will get nailed in the hopper too much.
Go get a dezign bolt from paintballgear.com
A new trigger would also be good since the stock one has a ton of side to side play. The "stock" barrel for an angel isnt really "stock", its an infinity barrel not a barrel made by WDP unlike some gun manufacturers use their own barrels (Tippmann WGP Kingman ect.) The infinity on my fly shoots marbs like darts. But im about to buy a freak because its a much better value than a boomstick. Also I would recommend a 12v revy with a turborev board installed if you can shoot over 11.5 bps.
Also dont listen to the people who say angels chop, as long as you dont out shoot your revvy you will be fine.

Barrel wise i would choose the JT/Avalanche kit. I shoot a full JT kit(3 backs and 2 fronts) on a darkand havnt had a problem with paint sizes, ive never had paint that wouldnt fit into one of the backs. The backs are .686 .688 and .690 I used to have a freak on my impulse and i liked it but it didnt clean out for **** and i think my JT's shoot ao much better and as do all of the people that have shot my gun. And for my freak ive'd never used anything smaller than .685 and bigger than .691 so i was only using 3-4 inserts max and only 1 time did i go larger than .689. The JT kit shoots amazing and cleans out as good. One guy on my team has a dark series kit(CP kit) on his angel and it shoots equally as good just mine's a tad sexier ;) I also have a teammate that shoots a freak on his angel and hes pickin up the JT kit here soon. Also powerlyte makes some amazing barrels which are all basic clones of a boomstick but ive had better performance out of my JT's than boomy's. Just some food for thought

http://www.dropzonepaintball.com carries backs and tips.
i recently sold off the freak, and boomy... now i have a jt barrel kit (.688 & .690 w/ 12" & 14" tip).
for mods...
1) volumizers really don't do anything, they may be slight performance, but so slight it can't be measured.
2) if you change internals (it will void the warranty)
steel hammers are better than brass hammers, thats a myth. why you think wdp made the hammers out of brass, instead of aluminum, or steel.
3) valves - stock is perfect, if you change this, you won't see any performance in angel, at all.
4) low rise vs. high rise (its all preference) liquid paintball makes a hi/low combo.... very good if you want to play hi-rise one day, and lo-rise the next day.
5) bolts (depends on maker - i use the same one rocky from team avalanche is testing - the zip-it cycle flow bolt - makes your paint, shoot straighter, less of an angle, more like an autococker, with the appearence of distance, other good ones, bonebrake, dezign venturi style.
6) regs.... don't change it.... stock is one of the best regs out there.
7) air system - your preference, angel air, conquest. presets - pmi, crossfire, centerflag.
8) barrels - any "true" two-piece, or barrel kit. equation ms, better than freak, the freak seems flimsy, and the quality is okay. equation ms - more flexibility in deciding what to buy.
