After seeing a hyperframed automag fire at 16bps using the Halo loader: http://www.paintballchannel.com/article.php?sid=81

Its got me wondering just how fast the new vertical feed shockers are capable of cycling with a glacier board and a Halo.
I have seen guys using warp feeds on their shockers in the magazines, and I can't understand why they would unless they were shooting in the 13-16bps range which is beyond the stock shockers 11.25bps.
Whats the fastest a shocker with aftermarket board is capable of shooting?

They might be using the Warp Feeds to get the hopper off the body.

I'm to tired to dig up any numbers. Anybody else?

well, it says on the glacier manual that it doesn't go any faster then 11.25 bps.

But you have to ask yourself, ISN'T THAT FAST ENOUGH???? cripes.. when c4pyro has his turbo on he can freakin crank balls like no ones buisness.

When are you acctually going to be playing at a 13-16 bps rate? It takes a bit of time for your finger to get to that speed, and by that time, you've been gogged. I mean really.... sure they can shoot fast, but do you really in all honesty need to shoot that fast?

My intimidator supposedly goes up to 14 bps but I don't think I have EVER shot it that fast... for any reason...

ANYWAYS, a Halo will just let you shoot a shocker at 11.25 bps more consistently then any other rev. thats curently out there. And no matter what board is in it.

An automag can probably go that fast because it isn't electronically limited to a certain rate... shockers are.

Thats true if you are using dip switches, 11.25bps is the limit, but if you go into AT mode, bypass the dip switches, and use the timing features through trigger pulls, you can set the glacier past 11.25bps. You would hold the trigger, turn it on, click 6 times to enter rof, click 3 times for set exactly, and click 14 times for 14bps.

I'm sure a shocker isn't going to shoot at 15bps, but I could swear that I read somewhere that someone had theirs up to 14bps with a glacier. I never shoot that fast, but its kind of like bragging rights I guess. We are all striving to get the max performance from our gear, and I would just like to know how far a shocker can go.

Oh well, I'm kinda disappointed after reading this:

http://www.docsmachine.com/shocker/glacier.html

Says that shockers are gonna be unreliable at rates past 11.5bps according to testing done by the guys that make the Glacier.
I frequently play a 30min game on 1 hopper so I guess it doesn't matter much anyway. sniff sniff, I just wanted to be special heh.
