finding BKO serial number

I can't find the serial number on my 03 BKO! I looked everywhere and even called the shop I got it at and thye can't find it either. I though only the first models didn't have a serial number? IDK what to do becasue of my warrenty card it asks for the serial number. Where is it on your 03 BKO? Thanks

Mine is a pre '03 model BKO, so it might not be in the spot where I have described.

Mine is on the right side, behind the volumizer, above the HPR, in front of the diamond milling, on the body.

And it looks like this:

BKO 1271
PAT.PEND

If I had a digital cam, I would take a picture of it, which I don't.

thatis the serial? I thought that was the patent pending number or something?

No, the number is the serial number.

I would venture to guess that the PAT. PEND means ICD is waiting for it to be patented.

Hmm.. I never needed the serial for mine.. My shop has lifetime warranty.... and I hate paying shipping to send my item all the way to icd..
