I've searched the threads and see that most like the CP or the Lapco. Well, did not discover this site until I have already bought my J&J ceramic. I'm just not that happy with the accuracy of this barrel. I was wondering if I should get a Lapco, CP, or just keep the CP. My marker is a Tippy 98 with a x chaimber. I'm looking for someone on this thread who has shot all 3 that could tell me which is more accurate and is it worth getting rid of the J&J for it. Thanks.

FYI, there is no Thread or Sticky with this ?'s as far as I can tell. I searched for 20 min. You get info of which to buy, but no info if it's worth getting rid of one for another, so dont tell me to search, I already have!!!!!!

Ive shot a CP and lapco and most people say there is no difference in accuracy between the three.

i dont think you should get rid of the barrel, theres nothing wrong with the ceramic accuracy wise but for looks.. cp beats both barrels :D

Looks does not matter to me, I'm choosing a barrel, not a girlfriend. Besides, my wife would not approve. I'm mostly interested in accuracy. Thanks for the reply.

Switching from a Ceramic to a 1Piece/Bigshot isn't worth it, they'll all perform more or less the same. If you want to upgrade, look at Dye Ultralites, but those cost a lot more than the barrels you listed.

as said they all perform the same
the only thing you could do to help your accuracy more is to get a good paint to bore match

I have a J&J and I like it and my brother has a CP 1 piece and I think they are just as accurate as one another but the J&J is a little bit quieter than the CP and of course as we all know it the Lapco is the loudest one. THEY ARE ALL VERY NICE BARRELS. I would consider a Stiffi barrel but thats got a hefty price tag on it though or get an Ultralite.

Largely depends on your gun and your setup. Your gun very well may be lacking in consistancy so that will cause you to have bad shot to shot consistancy.

Which his probably is.

i would focus on upgrades you dont have rather than ones you do.

He has a X-chamber, so unless he's playing in really cold areas (under 50 degrees F or so), it should be fairly consistant. Perhaps its a paint-barrel match?

an expansion chamber doesnt make it consistant at all. it's all about antisiphoning the tank and replacing the expansion chamber with a regulator. that will make it consistant.
